Delusional fans are all over the place. While lin certainly isn't the all star some of his fans claim he is, he certainly isn't a entitled scrub either. Using rhetoric like that has one purpose and that's to inflame and offend.
the LOF drops the race bait again and some people fall for it. some people here say the LOF are gone, but evil is never gone.
Last night's game on paper had the perfect conditions for Lin. No Kobe the ballhog to worry about. No Price the second-string PG to fight over minutes with. The team didn't play over the weekend and so Lin is well-rested. He gets not 15, but 30 minutes. Against a team with below-average defensive efficiency. Even starts the game with Ed Davis, his favorite PnR guy and Lin gets to close out the game as well. These are the conditions that LOFs crave for. These are the conditions that will create high scoring nights for Lin and the return of winning basketball. Result? 10 points, 10 Assists and 3 TOs in a loss. Whoopee.
What's wrong with that? Check the flow of the game or his +/-.... and he's been told by his coach to get others involved more and stick to BS's game plan. I remember the boston game when Lin solo scored like 7 straight when he got subbed in 2 mins before halftime and got lakers close. BS benched him since and basically told the media Lin has to run his plays. Lin does what the coach wants, and they don't seem to like Lin to score a lot. The scrutiny on this "mediocre/scrub" player has been like a circus. If you're annoyed, why don't you just ignore this thread? thanks.
Byron Scott wants Lin to play like Nash? Quite ironic that so many of his fans were celebrating Lin's freedom from the grasp of McHale. I think there's a good chance people look back 5 years from now, and point to Lin's 2 years in Houston as the best post-Linsanity seasons of his career.
FLOW? There was no flow. Those 10 assists he had last night sounds great but let's see how he got them. Lin's last four assists was within a 2 minute span or so dumping the off ball to Nick Young who was jacking up crazy threes in an attempt to catch up to the Suns and he happened to hit all four. And of those four, three of them were passes to Nick Young from the perimeter. The assists weren't from breaking down defenders in the paint and then handing the pass off to Young for easy buckets. This was more of Young's doing than it was Lin. And when Young got cold and there was still three minutes left on the clock, what did Lin put up the rest of the way? Zero assists. The game was on TNT and anyone who watched the game knew how underwhelming that double double was.
You have to give the man credit when he has a solid game. C'mon now. If he could average 10 points and 10 assists on a .500 team I'd be impressed.
