At this point i'm absolutely certain all the 'analysts' and basketball minds in the media dribble out the exact same nonsense as their peers - for fear of being ridiculed; and/or so they don't get hated on by specific players. I mean it's 100% obvious that Rose will never be what he was. No one will ever say it. There's a reason why so many people love JVG as a commentator. It's because he goes against the crowd and voices his (more often than not) correct opinion.

Rose is still an all-star level player. He needs to alter his play a little and allow Butler to shine as well in the backcourt. They are still very deep.
Took a dig at Bevs there, haha And how the heck are Aldridge and Lillard considered a back court tandem. LMA is a PF
Swiped at Cousins when he was going up, and hit his knee. They mentioned it was his thumb they're looking at not his entire hand.
Is Cousins hurt or something? They let the Blazers come ALL the way back and then decide to bring him in...
Its only a matter of time before old Rose comes back He just came from some nasty injuries. His speed is a bit delayed but he knows the fundamentals and thats all he needs. Is noah playing? Hes there motor of that team.
Harden never, or rarely, guards the opposing team's best player. Harden has improved his defensive effort overall this year to elevate the team's defense, which is a great jump from last year. Lebron still challenges himself to guard whoever is hot if the challenge presents itself. We saw that this past week. Lebron has played very good to sporadic spurts of great defense since he returned from his rest. That was a poor play. First game v. Phoenix, he shut down MOrris (who was on fire) once he guarded him late in the 4th. V. Clips, he guarded Griffin for 6-7 straight possessions in the 4th, and stopped him 4-5 times. Tonight v. Bulls, he shut down Butler. Butler was 2-9 when guarded solely by James. He's still not fully there (he still paces himself in spurts as he did last year), but his energy level is definitely better than what it was. The finishing around the rim and elevation are definitely better than what it was.
I guess the Blazers are just so good they never, ever make contact when reaching... There have been so, so many plays in this second half no whistle has been blown. Maybe a coincidence. Most likely it's not.
