The thing that impressed me the most about TJ was the chemistry he was developing with Harden on the court. The spacing and passing seemed a little better to but that was a very small sample size. Somebody else mentioned it, the tinkering with the lineup is killing me and this just makes it worse. Other than Dwight (because of the knees), Harden, Ariza and Bev (the knee he should have gotten fixed), I want to all the guys get more PT and chemistry time. I loved the movement as well when Pap was out there. Arg, the chemistry looked good with Pap, DMO, Black/Dorsey but maybe that was just a weak schedule. I know the talent has been upgraded but Adelman would have choked Morey (trades) or God/Lady Luck (injuries) by now for not giving him a consistent lineup.

Oh and I hate the Warriors because they're grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

I like D-Mo and TJ but only though it was a sample size TJ with only four games played stats are better than D-Mo and Josh Smith with same amount of minutes and not getting all the shot attempts as those guys.

I looked through the glass at TJones in the practice gym before the thunder game. He was just putting up some shots but looked okay to me.

its not about stats. if you watched game after game you would see how his game and play on the court contributed to the success of the team.

Great news! Showcase him and trade in pack with Shved for Dragic.

Do you just like listing him as center because you prefer that, or is it more to fit in the Rockets rotation? Obviously in Euro league he could play the C, but with his ability to hit jump shots and even the 3, most articles/scouts are putting him as a combo/PF. I'm not saying he can't play C, since he fills in regularly, but I was just wondering.

He's going nowhere since Josh Smith does not deserve playing time over TJ!

I don't even like Jones' game as a starting pf. But damn I can't wait for him to come back and hopefully take away all of Josh Smith's minutes.

Smith has proven exactly why Detroit paid him $25 million or whatver to go away.

It's a good thing that you are not saying he can't play the 5 since he has been so effective this season in the large number of minutes he has logged at the 5. Best post moves on the team and a top 10 NBA post defender.

And just to be clear, he does not have a very good jump shot. He absolutely rarely takes a jump shot unless its a 3 and even then he only hits .313% for the season which is well below the league average and yet well above his career average.

I'm guessing DD lists DMo as a 5 because he is such a natural fit at the 5 position. He has been playing the 4 position very well, but his skills are more of a true low post 7 footer.

I agree that TJ was playing very well, but stats do not tell the whole story. Having said that I look forward to TJ getting back.

You have to wonder if TJones would not be best served taking all of Josh Smith's minutes when he comes back.

Right now the Josh Smith experiment can be considered nothing but an unabashed failure. I guess when it goes, it goes fast.

The problem is that Jones doesn't play the defense that Smith can, having both would be really nice though for the games where Smith is especially bad. Having the option of benching him and going with Jones is very valuable.
