I did mention at the end of my post---maybe you stopped at "not a distributor"?---that Canaan on this team is pretty much asked to be a chucker (even if I also said he might have shown some PG flashes by now). Thing is, I wonder if McHale already has Canaan pigeonholed: "undersized chucker". He certainly won't give Canaan any minutes, even when healthy.
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/236310/Suns-Seeking-Trade-Of-Miles-Plumlee I feel like if we make any trade with Phoenix, it would be for Plumlee. Dorsey, a first rounder and 2 2nd rounders should do the trick. Or three team trade with Denver to bring Lawson here.
Why would we give up three picks for a backup center who wouldn't even get the majority of backup minutes? If they wanted Dorsey and a 2nd, sure, I'd be interested. But two seconds, and worse, A FIRST? Not even negotiable.
But can Lawson guard PG's like Curry, Westbrook, CP3, Lillard to any effect? One clear option stands out and he is Dragic
the difference between beverly and lawson on defense is less than the difference on offense. lawson will make those PGs guard him too.
Agree 100%. To even mention someone like Cannan and the proven Lawson in the same breath is laughable. Cannan will probably be trade fodder, no pun intended lol. I do like the way Cannan shoots the 3 ball though.
If a major move happens, I would prefer it to be sooner rather than later. We need to continue to develop chemisty.
Tough to do with the poison pill provision. If Morey is able to get him, then there's almost no doubt he's got a deal for a "stretch 4".
