Lin probably dominates the mah Jong table. It's an easier system with no black athletes so he finds it easy to fit in.
4 years in college 5 years in the pros Jennings had a much higher IQ and feel jumping straight from HS to Europe to the pros. A contract given to him based on affirmative action that most players laughed and mocked. And he's been exposed after playing the racism card - he is who scouts thought he was. The fact fanboys fail to see this and try to turn it into some kind of MLK civil rights movement is disturbing and pathetic - and why this thread has so much taunting and bickering.
America as a nation deeply respects it's athletes regardless of race. Both Williams sisters and tiger have huge endorsements and fan followings. Serena does act and look like a man at times so she gets flak, but it's not because of her skin. Nishimura is japanese not American so I do not know what has been said about him, but rest assured you are exagerrating based on the other examples you have. It's time to grow up and be a man instead of looking for pity. You are an embarrassment to people who achieve anything in life
Dude. Don't fall for lof tricks. Remember the first thing they pull up is race for anything. Think of them as not basketball fans
Never heard Michael Chang whine about racism. He was as popular as a soft spoken, one hit wonder could be in the 90s. Never seen anything but respect for Hideki Matsui and Yu Darvish and huge local support. America DOES NOT have a problem with Asian athletes playing our sports and doing well. We have a problem with entitled scrubs, delusional fans and deal with them accordingly.
Michael Chang: "You're going to have a little bit of racism," Chang said. "Unfortunately it's to be expected." http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=7641621&src=desktop
Ok... but he won a grand slam so it obviously wasn't crippling? I mean, every black and white athlete had some adversity growing up, and the majority weren't in a cushy palo alto suburb with parents paying their way through harvard. The self own age of LOFs is unreal.
I never claimed it was crippling. I was just refuting your original statement. A lot of times in life you can go as far as you want to - not always but often enough. Being in a sport where you are a starting point guard is one of those arenas. Lin is not succeeding because of his game not because of his race.
I like how white people assume that people of other races didnt suffer from racism. Btw clippers should trade cp3 to be relevant
I really don't like where this thread is going... Haven't had my sex life called out in almost 3 weeks
next, this thread should be given to the Lakers after Lin's contract expires there. I doubt that their mods would put up with that kind of ****. Jack Nicholson would be all like: " I have NEITHER THE TIME NOR THE INCLINATION TO>>>"
