Evans is very inconsistent. One game he can get to the rim and make tough lay-ups and the next game he's missing easy lay-ups.

Sometimes he also likes to take jump shots he can't make and play hero ball.

Pelicans fans a lot of the time get super frustrated with him.

He's almost like a small version of Josh Smith.

I do think of him as a small version of Josh Smith, and that is why he may be obtainable. I am not keen on him, but our situation in the backcourt is bad.

I doubt if Holiday would become available. He would a good addition for us.

I'm not sure Jrue is available, but if he is, he is the clear outlier in that group. I would definitely move serious assets for him. I wouldn't move DMO because I think he is an integral part of our ability to win now, but I would surely give up any prospect they wanted plus give them their own pick back.

What about Isaiah Thomas if the rumor a while back was true that he was the PG Phoenix preferred to move?

I'm not good at posting the actual tweets.

    Doc Rocket's tweets:

"There R NO dragons in Houston. Period! You CAN grieve about it or drink the best beer. But wipe ur chin, ur dribbling."

    and

If I COULDn't keep my pet dragon, I'd focus on GRIEVEing...& then drinking.

I think he's the perfect 3rd guard for Phoenix. He's going to have matchup issues on D a lot of nights. I just don't see too many teams having confidence in him being their full time starter in the modern NBA where every night you have to defend a superstar.

I think it's an interesting name to watch, but I definitely don't think he's available necessarily until there is someone younger and cheaper behind him. Will be interesting to see if they make a move to go young at PG or draft a PG this year. You can't see them really being in love with Holiday moving forward if he's not going to be playing at an all star level anymore.

On a team like the Rockets playing off the ball more who knows, but he'd be a clear upgrade offensively from Bev. Defensively he's more than capable.

I'd wait to proclaim Dragic talks "dead" until we see how they perform over the next 2.5 weeks. They are 2 games ahead of NOP and OKC in the loss column, and have this schedule coming up starting Wednesday:

    Portland
    Houston
    LA Clippers
    Washington
    Chicago
    Golden State
    Memphis
    Portland

IF they go .500 in these 8 games and are tied or close to OKC, then sure...Dragic talks are dead. If they go 3-5 or worse and fall behind OKC by a 2 or 3 games, we could see them reshuffle the deck and start taking Dragic's free agency more seriously.

THAT'S their schedule for the next two weeks? They're more likely to have an eight game losing streak then to go .500 over that stretch.

Think he's saying we need to get a PG, Dragic not likely, we should look at Greivis or Lawson.

But... I don't think (IMHO) he's basing that on inside info.

Why would Toronto move Vasquez? They aren't sellers, they're buyers, and Lowry is locked up long term, they should be in win now mode. What could we offer em that would shore up any need they have?

It sure seems like a high price to me to give up basically 2 first rounders (Capela and Pels pick) for Lawson. I view him as basically what Canaan could become. But that's just my opinion. He fits offensively. But he's not the tall/long point guard that Morey and McHale seem to be pre-dispositioned towards.

There is also synergy between Denver and Minnesota and Houston as well.

Not many of us see more than a scorer in Canaan. I'll say that while we have him, he deserves minutes, but he'll never be the distributor that Lawson is. He would've shown flashes by now, even in a Morey-puppet-coach-system that emphasizes him simply jacking 3's.

I understand why you would feel that Canaan is not a distributor.

Now, tell me when Canaan has been handed the basketball and asked to distribute the basketball for us?

I haven't seen it. We've always asked him to play off the ball. We've got JET and now Shved attempting to be distributors in place of Harden. If Canaan ain't a distributor...they for sure aren't.

Forget Dragic... Get Rubio or Lawson. They are locked up for a few years.

Lawson had like a 18 game stretch this season that he was under 10 assists once. Canaan can't hold his jock strap.

I tend to think that IF Dragic does go on the market, he won't demand as much as everyone assumes. You're essentially paying for 3-4 months and his bird rights (which may be worthless if he walks).

Something like Papanikolaou, NOP 1st, one of Johnson/Canaan, and maybe TJones should be enough in a 3 team deal at the deadline.
