Smith from the bench has been great. Stop the nonsense and looking for someone to blame . We got a bad record when Howard came back and Black was playing.

    CMurph:

Are they really that good or were we just that bad? 30 points better than someone?

27 a piece [from Thompson/Curry] is one thing but as easily as they scored is another. They made a mockery of the Rockets defense. They got any shot they want. Great ball movement from Warriors. Shot came to them based on body movement and ball movement.

They are one team to contend with but the Rockets gave up [defensively] in the middle of the 3rd Q.

Clyde: Lack of competition bothered me more than the loss.

Showing why he can lead the ASG voting and Harden can't even surpass Kobe.

I understand what you are saying but man it just sucks that Houston can not get a consistent team every year it is always trading and once again it will take some time to adjust to the new additions once they make a trade. I just tire seeing the same old thing happening every season. I hope that whatever trade does happen it will really benefit the team. True PG and backup C is what the team needs.

well, our defense for the past month has slowed down so that's been a worrying trend. Maybe early in the season, it was not so good, we just played crappy teams.

How can we get the defense up to par? We've relied on playing the passing lanes, but tonight they were getting free on screens.

We also couldn't outrebound them. They also got a lot of questionable calls in their favor. Nothing to do but continue to build up.

Anyway we won't meet GSW in the 1st round.

Nah its because Kobe is a legend and Harden is a known flopping beard dude with the bad defense video that went viral.

The one to blame is the one chasing the shiny object in the stream without thinking of how much it could/would screw up the chemistry we had.

You don't just acquire talent and figure it out - that is not how championships are won.

You get pieces that FIT together, even ones that may not be the best players, but FIT the best with your core.

Morey and I love the guy, just gets talent tosses it into the petri dish and says...go...

    Doesn't work that way.

Look, I gave props to McHale and the team earlier in the thread for their 8-3 run without Dwight which included those Memphis and Dallas wins. But that was a lifetime ago compared to the current Rockets team that gives very little effort half the time on defense.

The back-to-back Orlando and OKC games(not to mention the back-to-back New Orleans and Miami ones) are much better examples of what's wrong with the team right now. They simply don't show up half the time. There's no reason they should've lost to the Magic, but they didn't seem interested in trying that night and gave a bad team hope which turned into a close loss. Just like there was no reason to lay down from the opening tip against the Pelicans and lose by 30. But they did, forcing McHale to bench the starters early in the 2nd half.

I can accept losses. No team goes 82-0. A lot of really good teams don't even win 2 out of every 3. But to have a team that doesn't even try on a semi-regular basis when we're at the halfway point of the season is a major concern.

Aye On the bright side Portland is getting blown out by the Grizz and D12 showed he still has some juice left...Payback game next Wednesday, I expect Harden to show up with a chip on his shoulder...Hopefully the same can be said with our defense

We tried to compete on defense, but couldn't. They were faster and slicker on the pnrs with Speights in the 1st half, and then their guards got open in the 2nd half.

We need to study our pnr defense and our switching out on the perimeter.

You're trying to sound cute and make a point, but you fail. Blazers are without their starting center, backup center, and their starting SG is really banged up. Next time do a little research before you post.

It is pretty clear Houston can't beat Golden State. They own us.

We are just terrible at home. Other than the OKC game, we just never play with energy at home.

Again though, the problem I'm having is you mentioning other teams like the Clippers, Mavs, Spurs...

They have been MORE inconsistent than us, which is why they are all behind us in the standings right now.

I don't know, lack of effort. Likely tonight. It is what it is. Thing is though, the Warriors have blown out MANY a good team this year. We are not the first they have done this too. Just pack up, worry about the next game we play them.

I rather take this in the regular season than the playoffs.

and I do believe Klay Thompson and the W's defense as a whole had a lot to do with that, I don't think Harden purposely decided to go out here and SUCK tonight, but he did and their D had a hell of a lot to do with it. Harden was really awful tonight in every facet of the game he got owned...

No we didn't. An allegedly elite defensive team doesn't give up 130 points in regulation to anybody. The effort was horrible on that end, and it's been that way for a while now.
