If anything, Lin only got his contract and is only getting play time right now because of his race. A player of any other race putting up the performances that Lin is would be stuck to the bench or even in the D League.

Lin has one bad game with starter minutes and posters like Zboy / tinman comes up here and quotes every single stat line. Funny how they were completely silent when Lin had a good game the last time he had full minutes, and last week when he was NBA player of the week. Every player has bad games here and there, its perfectly natural. But the degree of nit-picking and try-hard of waiting after Lin has a bad game just to post articles and stats really makes me wonder if they have nothing better to do in their lives except to observe every performance of a player who isn't even a Rocket anymore. Pathetic.
Yep, he plays scared and timid. I know he doesn't have much of a verticle jump like Lilliard, Westbrook or Rose , but it looks pitiful when you are under or near the hoop and try to force a pass to a teammate instead of shooting and it leads to a TO. And he does this every game.
