Link to said discussions on said message board? I read a lot of message boards for all of the other teams in the Southwest Division, but haven't come across that general sentiment on the Mavs board I go to. Frustrated? Sure. Losing 3 of 4 will do that (have you seen how the sky falls here after just one loss!?!?!), a little underwhelmed by Parsons? Probably, but nothing about any sort of impending implosion.

Green Bay Packers just knocked out Parsons favorite Dallas Cowboys the past Sunday. Clutch was mocking Parsons being a bandwagon fan and Parsons playfully cooperated.

Parsons is getting too much hate. He's basically putting up the exact same stats in Dallas with fewer touches.

    Dallas fans are morons.

In terms of his play he likened himself to James Harden becoming a main option, and then all the non basketball related stuff, he brought it on himself

About halfway through the season, we know that he is who he is, he is 26, players do not usually make a big jump at that age. He is a very good role player, potentially a #3 option but preferably a #4 option on a championship contender.

I'd love to have him back in the future at some point, just don't pay him the max, lol.

Cuban, the media and Parsons himself, pumped him up like he was some superstar.

You shouldn't blame them, they were bamboozled.

    This.

Parsons is a role player getting paid max money; it was never going to end well. Of course fans are going to be excited bringing in a young player who the organization sold to them as an upcoming superstar. Now they see that he is simply a 3rd or 4th option and are pissed.

    Pretty sweet move by Clutch.

I'm past any animosity toward Parsons (not that there was much to begin with) but things are happening like most of us expected. He was basically at his ceiling last year which is a very good role player who can make teams pay offensively if they don't keep an on eye on him. Not much of defensive player due to lack of effort and concentration but still a guy who is going to play substantial minutes for any team in the league. He is the same guy in Dallas as he was in Houston. But dat contract.

I also get a feeling his body is going to start breaking down early. Between the back issues and his movement, posture and build something just seems off. I'm not being a hater but I could see him being a guy who spends his late 20s and early 30s playing half a season each year due to injuries before he is forced to retire early.

I can't blame Parsons for taking the contract and wanting a bigger role.

Cuban is the real idiot here

Parson should have gotten an about 8-9 million a year deal. 3 years for 24-28 million. He was given close to 16 million a year for 3 years, about 45-48 million. No way does a reasonable person turn down that amount of money when all it involves is playing basketball in a city 250 miles north of previous city he played for.

Dallas a Houston are rivals, Parson is playing his part.

I agree. But he should have taken his money and moved on. Lin and Asik were totally professional. Parsons was a total douchebag.

Had he not made a big deal about it, he may have merited some slack.

But he was "offended" at the Rockets trying to help him out, continued to show a lack of class - and now this douchebag is getting his just desserts

Yeah I'm fine with rockets fans hating him.

I don't get mavs fans hating him when their idiot owner totally panicked and overpaid

Durant would have probably dropped 40 last night if we still had Parsons.
