Answer for 1st question. If you do the level 24 weekly first for 3 coins you can also do the higher difficulty level after and gain additional coins as well. Most ppl my level just skip the lower difficulty and go straight for the hardest to save time while getting the most rewards possible. The hardest is 9 strange coins. If you do the level 24 Weekly and get 3 coins, and then do the level 26 Weekly, you will get 3 coins as well(the level 24 weekly already counts for 3 coins), they don't stack the way you described it. The most you can get from weeklies is 9 strange coins per week with 1 character. Xur is selling Ice Breaker. I highly recommend it

Yup no stacking in coins.. Same applies for raids in normal and hard. Just do it once in the hardest difficulty.
ok i did the mars chest thing...goal is to get to 11 coins before doing the weekly.. 11 + 6=17 thats what i need for the gun right? i'm at 9...any other ways to get the strange coin? as mentioned above the daily for today didn't give me a strange coin so SOL there right? any other quick little nuggets to get a couple quick coins?
do a public event since sometimes they reward you with a strange coin from the postmaster. After that start getting as much blue engrams as possible hoping they become strange coins but the probability isn't that high.
can you get into the hardest difficulty weekly? I'm sure some clutchbros can carry you through it since the strike isn't too difficult
Unfortunately I get online only after my little ones go to bed, so 9pm is typically the earliest I can get on. Sorry dude. There are some great and helpful clutchfans that I've met through this thread, so I am sure we can get some additional help as well.
thats no problem man...after 9 it is. i would think the weekly shouldnt take too long if we can get a full group together. would you want to run that before doing that crota raid?
You can only join missions/strikes/raids 3 lvl higher, so if you're a lvl 26 you can't join a lvl 30 strike. Here's what I would do ( but do it!!) Option A: 1) Get your guy to level 27 ASAP... ( shouldn't be that difficult considering you can buy lvl 31 armor from the vanguard) 2) Get a couple of higher ranked guys, preferably 29+, (Clutchfans bros!) to take you along in the weekly lvl 30 strike --+ 9 Coins. This should get you 18 coins ( 9+9=18.) At this point you can even run nightfall at lvl30, which can give you IB (very rarely) or even more coins. If you can't find people on clutchfans, go to destinylfg.net and look for a team there. There's always people looking for groups. Option B ( in case you can't get your character to lvl 27 for some reason): 1) Run weekly heroic on lvl 28--+ 6 coins 2) Make a new character (your alt) of the same class as your main and level him up quick. Make sure you do the missions on the next lvl difficulty and always go to the tower to pick-up the bounties associated with it. It helps if you have someone on your fire-team to make things go faster. While doing these missions you might pick up a coin here and there--+?? coins 3) With your alt kill Draksis in House of Winter Mission. At this point you'll probably be at lvl13 or so--+1 coin 4) So here you will have at least 16 coins maybe more (9+6+??+1>=16). In case you still only have 16 coins, get your alt to level 20. I've done it in 7 hours (from lvl 0 to 20), you should be able to do it within 10 hours. Once you're at lvl 20 swap your armor with your main and you should be at lvl 26 on your alt. Repeat step 1 in option B with your alt--+6 coins So you should have at lest 9+6+1+6=22. Yes, it's a boring day at work.
I feel so sorry for the little guys in here lol. I have 150 strange coins. :< I play on the PS4 or I would help y'all.
There is a way around it. You just join the fire team after they started it. So you got two people who qualify start it up then they send you invite or you join them. We do it all the time this way.
