Only players that don't hit their free throws consistently, are our bigs ( Power Forward and Centers). So what is really your point on bringing up free throw shooting. Our Guards and Small Forwards shot them pretty well. We don't know if Jones will be the same players once he comes back or if he comes back this season.
It's not Dwight's fault that our perimeter guys are getting beat off the dribble. Or not running these guys off the 3 point line.
I was looking for a ticket for Monday's game but after this awful performance... nah, hey don't deserve my hard-earned money.
The worst part is we got back in the game in the 2nd quarter, so for the entire 2nd half we couldn't pull away. Orlando gets credit though they played well. A little nervous about Bev's D, lets see what happens tonight.
McHale is an idiot for resting Terry. His two or three timely 3's would have made the difference. An 8 man rotation? You could see how we just had nothing down the stretch. You play him in a game where you have a 90% chance of winning with him (Orlando) vs a game where at best you have a 50% chance of winning (OKC).
I think he rested Terry to keep him fresh and ready for tonight's game against OKC. Dude is a grandpa out on the court so he most definitely needs his legs to hit those 2-3 threes a game.
I only caught the last quarter but it seemed like putting Brewer on Crazy Hair dude should have been attempted based on how badly he was abusing Bev. Needed some size and length to counter that guy's insane quickness and size.
That and maybe putting someone other than Ariza on Oladipo just to switch it up, he was killing Trevor last night. DD
Or I don't know, double teaming Oladipo. The Magic only had 2 guys who were consistently hurting us on offense. And their outside shooting was bad other than Frye. A good coach would've made adjustments and forced other players on that team to beat us.
I used to like Bev a lot more when he didnt think he was a scorer. He's on some Chnadler Parsons ****. I won't cry if he gets traded.
Losing this game was on the fact that the bench was reduce to playing only 8 players. Why did McHale stop using the same bench rotation that got going and had contributed to the 4 game winning streak?
So... Josh Smith had 4 threes... None went in. Can we ban him from taking threes? Instead let's give those 4 posessions to DMo in the post.
