It is very odd timing that the team started to slack off on D the moment he got that extension. It was also around the time Dwight returned, so maybe the rest of the players are taking it easier and assuming he'll clean up after their mistakes(which he's not, BTW).
His last two shots were easy possessions in the last 2 minutes when the game was already out of reach. The magic practically gifted him those points as a way of thanking him for letting them win the game. He was basically non-existent on defense, and might as well have left Payton screw his girlfriend while he was at it.
Just like Shaq who they didn't gave him the ball late in games because of his FT. A legit center you talking about allow Howard to score 23pts in 15 shoots
His D was not good this game and that's his role. If he plays good D and goes 3/10 I would be much happier. McHale's rotation was so weak tonight. We played 3 guys off the bench and the starters all played 34+. Sometimes his rotations are really good, but sometimes he totally screws up. We'll be all right though.
Can't wait for the L tomorrow night in front if our home crowd on national TV we all know Dwight won't give you anything against Ibaka and Harden has to do everything so more TOs and dumb fouls from Dwight
The Magic were getting easy points from lay ups while the Rockets looked like they were sleepwalking when the game was on the line.
Whoever said "easy win" or similar must say something now. The Rockets was lucky last time when they were in Orlando. They dug a similar hole and climbed out. This time is a little different, they climbed out of the new hole. But the Magic players wanted it more. And the referees wanted it more, for the Magic. No ****ing easy win in the NBA.
We have been playing with fire all year, haven't we? Just waiting for Harden to go in gawd mode and rescue us. He is great, MVP like, but he is only human. I would be absolutely shocked if Morey doesn't trade for a starting pg by the trading deadline.
