    Yes, and it's well documented.

I wanted Mack or Donald, and trade back into the 1st for Teddy Bridgewater.

But, it's much more than Clowney when it comes to evaluating Rick.

I don't know how many times I was called an idiot for having injury concerns about Clowney and wanting Mack instead, and look where we are now. "He's the surefire slamdunk #1 pick!. So what he had motivation and durability issues in college. He'll be way better than Khalil Mack. Mack is overrated because of the school he plays for. Clowney is the best!He is the new L.T.!"

Side note: if Teddy Bridgewater becomes a star in this league, I think that puts no doubt in my mind that Rick should be fired. If Rick REALLY wanted to draft by BPA, who the hell makes more of a difference? A Quarterback or a Lineman? It's obviously debatable this year if you draft A guy like Zack Martin, but Sua'Filo hasn't been even close to that level. For what Minnestoa gave up to grab him, for us, that's basically Sua'Filo and Savage for Bridgewater.

Bill O'Brien can and should have the power to pick his own QB. I don't think Smith could have anything to do with it if he even wanted (even more reason why bickering about Smith is a waste of time).

Why the ef does this matter?

He sucked compared to his peers and so does Rick Smith. And so does our former director of scouting. The proof is in the pudding.

From the get go Smith said he was going to get O'Brien the quarterback he wanted and I believe he did that with Mallet and Savage. Fans blaming Smith for the Texans not drafting the players they wanted or drafting a player they probably shouldn't have drafted maybe assuming Smith has more power and control than he actually has.

Well according to PFF, Teddy Bridgewater was the 37th best QB in the NFL last season going by their DVOA metric.....so I'm sure he's well on his way to being a star.

We've heard about DVOA all year long....it's not a new thing. There was a "Watt earns highest PFF grade ever" thread about it, there was also another where someone with a subscription to PFF was going to post all of the DVOA scores for the Texans all year long. It's one of the most respected advanced metrics in football actually.....doesn't mean it's 100%, but it's pretty good.

Wanna guess which QB had the highest rating according to PFF for the last 4, 5 games of the season?

......LOL 4.5 games? When a large sample doesn't say what you want it to, people always look for a small sample to twist the data. I haven't looked, but even if that's true, it just hammers home how worthless he was the rest of the season in order to fall to 37th overall. SMH this is VY all over again. Just give it up, it's over now.

Are you saying players don't develop, or get better over time?? If he was 37th (or worse) during his first 10 games, but then the best QB in the game over the last 6, isn't that EXACTLY what you want to see out of your rookie quarterback? I'm sorry, but your post makes absolutely no sense. In fact, you're doing exactly what you're criticizing others of doing and twisting the data to make your point.

Wow, he's a effin rookie QB who didn't have the best back in the game all season. It's called development bruh. The last 4 or 5 games of the season, he was number ONE in the entire league. Over Rodgers. You threw out PFF ratings. I didn't. You pwned yourself.

QB is the hardest position to transition into in the NFL for a rookie. Of course, you can look at the latter part of the season to gauge growth. I just saw that you voted Mallet over Peyton Manning LOL. Dude has played in ONE game in his career basically. What a nice sample size.

They will not give Teddy his due. . cause he does not fit the prototype
People look more at physical stats/college name/ etc than what they see

It's a promising end to his rookie campaign, but only one of those defenses is really legit... and a lot of those teams had nothing to play for. So, it's encouraging, but not a stamp of greatness or something.

SMH, keep propping Alex Smith 2.0 up, it doesn't really matter, it'll just make these threads really funny to look back on later.

You've been repeatedly owned on everything you say about Teddy Bridgewater. People laughing at your failure, is the only funny thing in this thread.
