None of these guys are still playing for us. So you did jinx them as Rockets. DD, it was just a little jab, not trying to hurt your feelings.
Yep I was wrong. His percentages were low in the beginning of the season (and he got into foul trouble) but he has improved a lot
I never hated dmo though. Never argued that TJo or even Smith was better. But would you guys trade dmo for love, cousins or Anthony Davis?
Yes to Cousins and Anthony Davis. Probably no to Love since he's a FA to be and he's a negative on defense.
I would trade Ariza for Lebron too but that doesn't mean he does not have the X-factor as the thread title suggests about Dmo.
The legend keeps growing, a lot of the CF community values DMO much more than any GM would. He's improved dramatically but come on, I would give four DMOs for any one of those 3 players listed above.
I agree Dragic is doing fine though Lowry is doing better. Brooks on the other hand went from the face of the franchise to playing in China to making around the vet minimum. We also know what happened to Yao. You know I'm just busting your balls, and I don't really believe in jinxes. That being said, I will never let forget Langhi, vspan, and CBud over Parsons.
It's an offense driven stat. If the stat could somehow reflect his defensive presence and all the other little things he does on the court (screens for example) he'd be way above average.
Alexey Shved has a PER of 18.56 for crying out loud. That should say something about how *****ty this stat is.
PER is one simple metric, but it generally does show you who the best players in the NBA are every single year. The top guys are pretty much ALWAYS at the top. Harden is having his best season ever and not coincidentally, he also having his best year of PER by far. This obviously doesn't take into account DMo's solid defense and intagibles, but I've been keeping an eye on this. It has been slowly rising, but I was expecting it to make a bigger jump. I see what he is doing on the court and I'm seriously wondering why his PER is so low. I expected it to be much higher. Stat gurus please explain why Terrence Jones' PER is so much higher please. Terrence's offensive and defensive rating last year also blow DMo's out of the water. He was 119 and 105 in 76 games. DMo is 106 and 103. I'm seriously just trying to make sense of these numbers. I truly recognize DMo's talent and his positive impact on the court. These numbers though...they don't seem to correlate with what I think I'm seeing.
