It's gotten to the point that when he misses a close shot I'm shocked. Would like to see him more at 65-70% for free throws though, having 3 poor free throw shooters as our big man rotation is going to be our downfall in the playoffs.

He has to shoot baby hooks from the FT line.

This thread is funny to read from the beginning. It is only a couple of months old, but there are some people who really have to eat crow.

    That's on D-Mo

Do you think everybody in the rotation is shooting more shots by design? Brewer, Smith, Beverly, Ariza, these guys are more than happy to fire away. D-Mo should do the same when he gets the ball down low. He's too content to pass back out.

If you're scared of the Donatas stay off the court.

Basketball is a team sport. I want Dmo to pass the ball to the open 3pt shooter if he gets doubled. That's a winning proposition.

the players not named harden or dwight need to know their roles. pass bol to big man. because in the playoffs they're going to shadow harden, what are you going to do? pass it to the post for glorious play? or shoot contested threes. bad habits are hard to break so they need to start now.

DMo should pass out if he is doubled for an easy shot. but the other players need to look for DMo when he is posting up. Very few players look for him in the post.

How often do you see him pass the ball out of the post when he is single covered? Hardly ever. He often gets the ball around the three point line, I am very happy he decides to pass in those instances.

A point guard is to blame when he isn't shooting enough, because he has the ball in his hands, but a post player does need people to pass it to him.

    Agreed 100%

Anyone know how to find out who sets the most screen for the Rockets players? I'd be shocked if it wasn't DMo.

second DMO hook with Harden PNR could be money, if team look for him, because he sets many of those per game, and do not get ball often.

Its not a hook shot. Its a push shot. He needs to make that one of his go to moves in the paint when facing the basket. I utilize it a lot in pick up and defenders can never react quick enough because they never expect it.

The thing that I'm loving the most about DMo right now is that he has gotten strong enough to post up centers. Whenever there is a PF guarding him, I know he has a complete mismatch see Kenneth Faried. He has gotten too strong and is too skilled. His rookie year, he couldn't even hold position against PFs. They would outmuscle him and push him out of his spots. He would get off balance making his moves and rush up some crazy looking shot attempts. Now he is dominating them down there and has moved on to being able to effectively post up big centers like Noah, the Gasol brothers, and Plumlee. It is very impressive to watch how much he has developed in that area and how far he has been able to come through hard work, perseverance, and patience.

I was previously willing to part with DMo for Dragic, but at this point I've changed my mind. We need to lock this guy up long term, I want him in a Rox uniform for the next 6-8 years.

Here's hoping DMo will be to Harden what McHale was to Bird.

Rockets have him locked up for the next season too (2015/16). He's going to be a restricted free agent in the summer of 2016.

His finishing ability around the basket is second to none.
