Obama didn't care enough to show up at Paris rally. I guess he had more important stuff to do

Of course you're right Deck. We should have sent someone that has an intimate connection to this whole mess. Someone like GW.

Oh wait, he would have been arrested for war crimes.

I think we can all agree with this. However, that's not what the thread title is saying. Totally different, but of course the grand wizard won't own up to that. This is just another desperate attempt by the grand wizard to show how much he hates Obama. Another reason to point and laugh at bigtexxx.

What's amazing is that Obama hasn't yet sanctioned Saudi Arabia with import tariffs on their oil here in the US. The Saud family does this with government authority - a legitimate basis.

What these terrorists or criminals did in Paris is carried out by the US backed Saudi government. Anybody care? No. Anybody going to do anything about it? No. In fact, we'll go to war with the Saudi's neighbors while threatening to the same with every single one of their other neighbors.

I agree with BigTexxx as well- but that's OK, no President is perfect. They should have at least had Biden go there. If I were President Obama, I would make a point of visiting France soon as a show of ambassadorship.

No offense to the esteemed OP, but the USA has never really cared about France or what they think. I still eat my freedom fries with American ketchup.

Oh, of course the thread title is sensationalistic and over the top in the usual texxx fashion, but I felt like addressing the topic, which is a good one. The White House press secretary himself said it was a mistake. The guy doesn't say that unless it's been green lighted by the Oval Office. They know they screwed up. As I said earlier, it isn't the end of the world, but it was a political ****up, one entirely unnecessary, in my opinion.

(I keep making grammatical errors - got operated on today, ouch!)

I think the Obama Administration should have sent someone higher up to the rally. If Netanyahu and Abbas show up, then security can't be that big a concern.

i wonder, if people feel so strongly about this topic, how many have shown up for Je Suis Charlie rallies or, failing that, donated money to the RSF or the CPJ.

Rep. Randy Weber, a conservative who represents a district based in Galveston, sent the tweet Monday night amid criticism that Obama did not attend an anti-terrorism march in Paris.

Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn't do it for right reasons

LOL, you think that liberals disagreeing on something reflects poorly on them. Go figure.

    He sure did!

"How could the U.S. not be there when representatives from such beacons of freedom and lack of censorship as journalist-punishing Russia was there?" he asked.

"Journalist-jailing Turkey was there!" he continued. "Egypt, 'nuff said! Palestinian cartoonist-jailing Israel was there!"
