Good post. The other players need to ignore him when he is demanding the ball in the post. If he want the ball on offense he better

Sit down Dwight, if you can't play.. you can't play. We need a health knee for the playoffs.

You said yourself Howard is not an Elite player on Offense... so why compare him to the King who is known for his Offense?

Howard in Orlando was only a 2nd tier Superstar, now he is just another star

Even Lebron has regressed a tad...... Howard has lost half a step

IF WE LOSE DWIGHT . .. . how much of a step back does out DEFENSE take?

Do we become Dallas? All Offense and no defense?

In hindsight, if we could have signed Millsap that offseason instead and had a frontline of Asik/Millsap, would y'all have opted for that instead?

Who cares about the regular season? The Rockets busted their ass last year in the regular season and they got a 4rth pick. Did anyone care about that in the summer or even this year?

If you have a $3k suit do you wear it at your friday night clubbing activity with your friends after work? What ifsome drunk picks a fight with you and ends up ripping it up? Obv you save it up for important occasions, like a wedding or an important company dinner etc.

It's the same thing here. I hope Dwight continues his low contact low effort acceptable defense games throughout the season. If he does this in the playoffs then we can talk, but right now asking Dwight to bust his ass means you aren't thinking about the post season at all. I'd rather be the 8th seed with a healthy Dwight than the 3rd seed with an exhausted Dwight, right now we have the 3rd seed with low effort Dwight so I dunno what you guys are complaining about.

No way, Asik is a negative on offense and while Millsap is good, his improvement over DMO does not compensate the regression from Dwight to Asik. Plus despite being a good defender Asik isn't dominant on defense, when they matched up he was unable to shut down Dwight while Asik shut himself down on offense. In fact I don't think Asik has been able to shut down an elite C or PF yet, guys like Cousins tend to have big games anyway even when Asik was guarding them.

Seeing as how we are a thoroughly average offense to begin with, I hope that's not the case.

I doubt we lose Dwight though. He doesn't want another round of media shaming after switching teams again, unless Morey just refuses to resign him, which I doubt.

I am by no means a proponent of trading Dwight, but our defense was still great when he was hurt.

All 5 of our starters are now good defensively, and D-Mo while not a shot blocker has proven to be a good rim protector.

Is the amount of money he is making really negating us from improving the team...I mean he is he main reason that Josh Smith is here in the first place...The way I see it we are number 3 in the conference and man umber 1 in our division with a 70% Dwight Howard...Come playoff time Smoove will be cemented into the offense and Dwight will be healthy and ready to dominate..Again...In the playoffs with the MVP...This team's ceiling is scary

i maybe critical of Dwight's play right now, but you read any of my post, not once did i ask for him to be "traded", because i know right now we'd be getting pennies on the dollar, and it would not do the organization any favors by giving away your prized FA just two years ago. all i want from Dwight is to man up and take his job more seriously and help the team win. i'd say that's the least we should be expecting from our highest paid player.

and i don't know where you get the idea that i was attacking his character. it was obvious to many of us that he was coasting through games, but that in itself does not qualify as an attack of his character. many of his peers like Kobe and Shaq may have, but as a fan, there is no need to get personal with someone playing for your team. the man isn't performing up to standard and not helping the team much. if he's injured, then get healthy now for the sake of the playoffs, because right now we don't need him to win games. but don't be goofing around and give sub-par performances and then look for excuses to justify his poor play.

How hard can it be? Yao was as good as Howard (if not better) and we replaced him with relative ease right? All we need is another disgruntled OKC player, an overconfident man child who is enamored by his own looks, and a center who does not want to play with Kobe Bryant. This shouldn't be hard at all.

True, if we didn't already have a center like DMo on the roster.

DMo is a great supplement, but replacement he is not.

Now as an Asik replacement, DMo is more than qualified (an a bit overqualified) to fill that role.
