Don't mind him. He likes to spit out stupid troll-like theories without EVER backing them up. So don't expect any examples of proof / stats backing his words up.

It's so great having a big man who you can dump the ball to for some easy, almost automatic points during shooting slumps.

I am so happy that we finally have a very good (maybe in time even great) post up player. It is a lost art, but IMHO still the best way to have consistent scoring.

Best post player on the squad, hopefully he develops a face up J so the D can't sag off him... he can be a difference maker for us real soon.

Man, if he ever got a midrange jumper like Luis Scola's 15-18 footer DMo would be unstoppable.

    Really?

Ask Marc Gasol and Zebo how well he handled the double team when he dominated them without Howard when the Rockets beat Memphis earlier in the year.

Ask Minnesota when they thought they had the game won after Harden fouled out earlier this season and DMo was the single only offensive option. The Pups threw everything at him to no avail. DMo singlehandedly brought the Rockets back in that game and scored the 1st couple of baskets in overtime for the win.

DMo has scored making the very best post defenders look silly this season when he has decided to score in the post. He has proven that he can score over Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah and Gobert with relative ease when he decides to be aggressive.

So what games are you watching when you make that statement?

Agreed. Not sure if it will ever happen, but that would complete DMo's offense.

I think he general consensus is to ignore this poster. For most fans it is clear that Dmo is a good and Willing passer.

Hoping he can add some elbow jumpers, the TD 17ft bank shot to his arsenal, and get his ft% near 70%. With his work ethic, it is possible.

You forgot Anthony Davis which DMo had some success against as well in the post.

Yep. DMo has convinced me that when he decides to score in the post, no one has any better post moves. The sweeping hook shot, that little push shot and the up and under (reminds me of Luis Scola) and the Dream (I mean Lithuanian) Shake.

I heard some announcer say that the Grizzlies organization went to Marc Gasol and asked him to look for his shot more instead of looking to pass so much. I wish the Rockets would do that with DMo. His biggest flaw is sometimes he passes out of a mismatch in the post for another teammate. I wish he was just slightly more selfish with the ball in his hands.

I agree as this is how Pau made his name in the league - post ups and mid range.

This may sound crazy to some, but I honestly think DMo might already have that 15-18ft jumper. However, our team philosophy isn't too kind to the midrange game, so we make DMo shoot threes instead which are a little out of his range.

I haven't been able to catch much action the past couple of weeks, but following the game on my phone, I've noticed the two following things:
    1. Starting lineup has been very good; and
    2. Lineups with Josh Smith and DMo have been destroying opponents.

I can see spacing issues happening with Smith and Howard. Spacing issues happen between Howard and DMo, but not to the same extent. On Smith and Dmo, I'm guessing the spacing issues are less than anytime Howard is on floor plus there is the benefit of having both big men able to pass and run the floor.

Anyone care to elaborate on what has been working with Smith and DMo or is it just coincidence/small sample size?

The ambidextrous hook shot is unstoppable, especially if you can bank it on the move. Anybody posting the "trade Dmo for____" just doesn't know the history of the game.

i don't think he has a midrange game at all, our style isn't suppressing it. his shooting stroke just isn't right, it's like he pushes the ball and no wrist snap follow through.

Why do you think he has no midrange game AT ALL? Is it that crazy to think that a ~30% 3PT shooter would have some sort of success from 15-18ft? This isn't Dwight we're talking about.
