Based on board walk empire I would have to go with 20s and 30s seems like everyone was rocking expensive suits.
When I look at my family's yearbooks from 60's on back, everyone was extremely well dressed and groomed. Things started falling apart in the 70's. I can't choose between the 20's-60's right now.
20's were great - everybody partying after the Great War like there was no tomorrow. The 30's? Not so much. They had this little thing called "The Great Depression" that was kind of a bummer.
Yeah, I'd go with the 50s. That era as a whole was the golden age. With the economy taking huge jumps, the music, the automotive industry. That attitude then was fantastic.
1950's..... This looks "Presidential".... Since I wasn't during 1950's, I'll base my opinion solely on the show "Leave it to Beaver". The boys didn't always look as clean as this, but Ward and June Cleaver always looked like they were ready for a dinner with the Queen of England! Maybe not everyone dressed like this back then, but I'm sure this is what everyone was trying to emulate, I mean , we usually get our fashion sense from what the movie stars are peddling. ....... ....... .......
the brits in any era, even the homeless wear sportcoats! and don't even get me started on their gangs, suspenders and mascara. agree with the 20s, 50s and 60s even.
