Capela and a 1st at the minimum, maybe a NYK 2nd to a third team to take on some of Denver's salary (Javale?) He may be a cornerstone, but that structure is flawed and going nowhere soon.
Don't know if we'll get Lawson or anyone else for that matter, but these seemingly impossible trades/acquisitions happen at times in the nba
People who still talk about getting Dragic and find excuses are like that guy who keeps finding reasons why the chick cancelled on him... "Maybe she is just sick? Maybe..."
Anytime the bbs wants a player the arguments here are as if whatever this bbs thinks will happen is the only realistic scenario. Melo would definitely leave New York and he would never consider Chicago over Houston The media is lying when they say Lebrun isn't think about Houston The media was lying when they said dwight didn't want to be here No way anyone else could trade for Dwight but us Of course we can get Kevin love No way lebron will go back to Cleveland Just because you think you can make a rational argument for something doesn't mean it is the only rational argument,
Looking at their salary situation they are committed to roughly $59m in salary including dragic's PO. If they make no other moves and want to retain both dragic (assume a salary of $16m/yr) and wright (assume $8-10m/yr) they'll be well over the cap and at around $76-77m. They'd still probably be under the luxury tax. An owner serious about contention might pay that and more the following year when the cap opens even more so as you alluded to it comes down to what you think the owner will do. If he's comfortable paying that much then they could offer dragic the money to stay. It'll cost them a lot for a team that's essentially on the bubble. I think the FO decides whether they think it's worth paying him depending on how good they feel about making the playoffs. I think dragic's decision hinges on that too. Things look a lot less likely for him to he moved now because their winning. That can still change if they hit a serious lossing streak. As much as I want memphis to lose as it benefits the rockets seeding, I'd rather see them beat the crap out of PHX and totally demoralize them.
If Phoenix believes in their team & that they could re-sign Dragic (so no to trading him), I could see a three team deal at the trade deadline. (We need to improve PG play for playoffs.) Trade only happens if SAC is still in playoff hunt and decides that Deron Williams still adds value.... SAC, BRK, & HOU BRK In: F Derek Williams (SAC); F Jason Thompson (SAC); G Alexey Shved (HOU); G Isaiah Canaan (HOU); NYK 2nd (via HOU) SAC In: PG Deron Williams (BRK); F Cory Jefferson (BRK) HOU In: PG Darren Collison (SAC) Also, if we can sell it to Orlando, swap Dorsey & a protected future 2nd for F/C Kyle O'Quinn. (Doubt it, but worth a shot) Then our playoff squad would be Beverley // Collison // Terry Harden // Ray Allen  // N. Johnson Ariza // Brewer // Papa Motiejunas // J. Smith // Jones Howard // O'Quinn // Capela That is, of course, only if Dragic is completely off the table
I'd rather you be right than me. I love dragic and think he is perfect for this team. He would make us contenders in my mind.

His defense is just bad. I'd like him on the Rockets but his contract isn't something I can see Morey trading for, but who knows.
Who says they lose him? They can pay him more than anybody else. He wants to stay there. They could trade Bledsoe in the offseason and resign Dragic if they choose to. The bottom line is PHX will not be eliminated from anything by the deadline. The trade for Wright tells me they are all in. They needed to make a trade for a big and did not want to use Dragic to do it. Just get over it and move on. Nobody is trying to pay Dragic a max contract in the offseason therefore it is more likely he stays in PHX. Everybody move on please!
