Screw Shved. Canaan is arguably the best PG on this team, let alone a garbage-time-only player. He could well be starting in place of Beverly, let alone the fact that McHale won't even play him over Jason Terry's fossilizing ass... I don't think McHale is a bad coach, but his rotations continue to baffle me.

It is very odd. When Bevs is hurt it's not Terry starting but Canaan, so why wouldn't he back him up as well. And wouldn't you want you're younger guy who's probably gonna be here next year getting playing time as opposed to Terry? I guess Mchale just likes the veteran presence with Terry and doesn't want to rock the boat by taking Bevs from the starting lineup

Good win tonight. The defense got us this one 'cause the offense was not at its best. I think the D caused five 24-second clock violations on the Jazz. You can tell the Utah offense is not refined. They turned it over 30 times.
Yes, I agree with some of the others that we need to give Canaan some more time.

I'll say this... I can tell when another dude is good looking. But to what degree I have no idea.

    I can categorize women by decimal points. She's an 8.3. Or she's a 9.2.

But a guy? I can tell if a guy is ugly, average, or good looking, but that's about it.

Good win. No clue how we're the 3rd seed right now given our poor play as of late. Hopefully we've turned a corner because we just have to keep winning.

I am concerned that Canaan will continue to be glued to the bench. If he can't get minutes against the easy teams, he won't be able to heat up against the big teams, if McHale throws him out there in an emergency.

The kid can shoot, if nothing else. It is very surprising that he is not being given a chance because of our inconsistent shooting.

I am much pleased with any win against the Jazz. Harden showed them that he is the boss.
    Go Houston Rockets!

How did Shved blow his chance? He barely even played and when he did get minutes he had no practice.

The Rockets are the 3rd seed because they started the season 19-5. That's why going 7-6 since then has allowed them to remain this high in the standings.

Its not like we could have kept up that torrid pace. Every NBA team will have its ebbs and flows.

No, I'm not surprised the Rockets didn't continue to play nearly .800 ball. If you prorate a 19-5 record over an 82-game season, you'd be looking at 65 wins. No way in hell they're THAT good.
