I really don't know of any really ugly dudes on our team. Unless you are saying this due to skin color?
Seriously? You're gonna play the race card? Bev's got hair going in every direction. Ariza is an average-looking dude. Same with Smith. Harden's beard is his trademark, but it's not an attractive look. Papa looks like a caveman. Brewer's a normal-looking guy, although he's so skinny it's scary at times. The rest of the team looks good, but Dwight needs to ditch that sort-of mohawk he's got this season.
as much as i love Bev's heart and grit on the court, i really don't think he's starting material for the Rox. he has no organizational skill on offense whatsoever, and his defense is overrated. he's pesky, i'll give him that, and he gives max effort, which i love in any pro atheletes. i have long thought the Rox would be better off starting Shved. i don't know why McHale isn't playing him. before he had an injured ankle or something, but now he's dressed for games and can play. why not give him 25 mins playing with the starters and have Bev come in to spell him? Shved to me is a poor man's Dragic. he's got the size, atheleticism, enough ball handling and shooting. remember, Dragic wasn't Dragic until Lowry got hurt so i feel an opportunity is all that Shved needs to prove his worth on the team. one thing i am critical of McHale is the way he uses his rotation. just way too conservative and lack any imagination. Dmo would not have gotten his opportunity until TJones got hurt. Cannan the same with Bev out, and now he's a no show. what happened to evaluate players based on performance? if they are not getting it done, then the next player up. doesn't matter if he's a Howard or whoever. we are deep enough on the bench to do that this year, and with more quality players, McHale has turned to McFail.
Lol ya Dwight was listed as probable tonight for his knee problems...I hope he gets back to 100% sooner rather than later, but as of now his production is not leading to losses due to our new found depth so he's got time
I can observe can't I? Dudes know when other dudes are good looking, just like chicks know when other chick are hot.
I know the standings are volatile and will keep changing till April, but it feels good to be on top of our division again!
Sometimes I feel Bev is just a tenacious worker but doesn't have the talent to compete @ pg in the west. But he's perfect for this squad. I was joking about his prosthetic shins/lower legs but he's grinding those knee cartilages away working himself to an NBA minimum and if not currently not bone on bone already will probably not get a max contract as scouts around the league will notice this right away. I feel he's smart to start that Saloon business with his mom because it's probably end of the line for him as a basketball player.
The good news is we've played 6 more games against the West than the Mavs thus far, so Dallas' days of bumping up their win total against the East will be coming to an end soon. And while they're not in our division, I took a look at the Clippers' upcoming schedule and it's brutal. A ton of road games and many of them against top teams in the West. If we can keep winning the games we're supposed to win, we may be able to hold off Dallas and LA and at least secure the 4th seed.
Starting a random newcomer like Shaved over Bev could be dangerous to the team's chemistry. Might piss some of his teammates. Right now, he'd have to outperform Canaan before he can overtake Bev. Besides, as overrated you may think Bev's D is, it's probably light years ahead of Shaved.
This won't be another case of T-Mac/Yao. Dwight is healthy and looks like he's saving himself. I'm fine with it. He'll be on the up-swing soon enough; it's all part of the in-season fluctuation that Clutchfans always seems to overreact to. In the same way, Harden won't be able to sustain 26-7-7 I think. It will probably come down to 25-6-5, as his minutes go down during the easier stretch of the season in February or so. Doesn't mean that he's worse; we just need to get ourselves prepared for the playoffs, because we will be able to beat anyone this year.
Have you been watching this year? Shved did get his chances and blew everyone... The teams identity is defense and Shved showed us none of that...
