Vucevic with a career high 34pts, yet the Magic rarely go to him down the stretch. Wesley Matthews is unreal, criminal how much he gets overlooked in the top 2 guard discussion.
Yeah, as a consequence that'll happen, but its basically what the Heat did in the 2012 playoffs. If you have a good enough scrambling defense you can make up for the increased assist potential by hammering him on potential turnovers and baiting him to take shots.
I would say Matthews isn't a great shot creator like Harden, Kobe, Thompson, and now Butler. Great player, but he'd fail as a volume shooter I think.
I don't think Klay is a better creator than Matthews, he just has a diminished role seeing as he's behind Lillard and LMA. I will agree that none of those three could succeed as volume shooters a la Harden.
