Millions of people would personally kill fchowd0311. Millions more would not kill him but would understand if he were killed. Your straw man has no relevance.

The point Dawkins was making in the video was that these other religions are comparatively benign.

I do not think its a stretch at all to assume that the vast majority of catholics or christians would completely disagree if a Catholic was murdered on the steps of the Vactican if they chose to leave the faith

You did when you said it would be quite alright for all Frenchmen to look twice at all Muslims. I imagine there are quite a few Muslim police officers in France.

I don't agree with the statement regarding Martin either, but you are showing once again that you are a moron by asking the question. Physically assaulting someone which results in self-defense is not the same as exercising your right to freedom of speech.

No he didn't. You look twice, see he's a police officer, which defines him, and it's fine. If someone wears a salafist beard, I will assume they are in favor of killing apostates, though.

Right, because we have religious laws written into scripture that are repugnant, disgusting, and disdainful, but we have those who interpret it differently so that they can live in civil society. So maybe we don't have to "second guess" everybody.

Anyways, fchowd0311 has walked back his statement into something along the lines of "if the Muslim I'm talking to happens to believe in killing me in broad daylight, I'll probably second guess him" which is a reasonable statement that departs from "I think it's okay for French people to second guess all Muslims."

not sure if that's enough of a Salafist beard, or if Sikhs are exempted by the turban. You can just straight out say "if they look like my pre-conceived notion of an Islamist, I fear them."

They're still listening to Anwar al-Awlaki's sermons... They're still following his instructions (the hit list). With the influence this guy still has from the grave there's no telling what would be going on if Obama hadn't ordered his death.

Interesting that the French government opposed the US going to war but the French cartoonist found another way to go to war. And like soldiers they gave their lives _ and the lives of innocents as well who had nothing to do with the cartoons.

How many soldiers did that Muslim US officer kill right on base a few years ago? It's what's in their heart not on their body....

That's not a salafist beard. You try hard with your desperate googling, but you fail yet again. Educate yourself, son. Being a salafist and being a police officer in a Western country is simply not compatible.

13, but the Army didn't charge him with terrorism.

On 28 August 2014, his attorney announced that Hasan had written a letter to*Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi—head of the notorious*Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which has proclaimed a*caliphate*in Iraq & Syria and has been designated a terrorist organization by the US, UN, and many Western countries. In the letter, Hasan requests to be made a citizen of the Islamic State and included his signature and the abbreviation SoA (Soldier of*Allah).[/]

Just the same the terrorist are getting the 24 hour loop media attention they want. Repeated negative coverage of a small percentage to try to make the world fear all...

First, let me say that I am glad you agree with me that Ahmed's sacrifice should be honoured. So should the Muslim who saved lives in the kosher store attack, a regular grocery store employee, Lassana Bathily from Mali. Please help me highlight their stories: they are Muslims and should not be "looked at twice.", the original point of contention between me, and fchowd, that you felt the need to interject in.

Second, thanks for updating the situation on the beards and your deep-rooted assumptions and fears. Don't jump at too many shadows!
