This Texans coaching staff is stacked with talent. Are we building a power house in Houston. I think it all starts upstairs. Just have to get Rick Smith out of anything that deals with players.
If this happens it would be BOB showing the team and everybody else what he been preaching. He would be showing that he also wants to improve himself he's always said it starts with him this would be showing that. Marrone could tell BOB exactly what needs to be said to him at times and BOB will take his input. Marrone is possibly the only guy who could be blunt with BOB about his own performance and gernhardt too. That's what they would be there for to tell BOB he's doing a good job or not. Everybody is evaluated even BOB he's preached this many times before.
This is a dishonest post if you knew what you were talking about or an ignorant post if you didn't, they ranked them 12th overall in pass blocking. Now 12th isn't terrible, but it's also an overall ranking that hides that they had some really bad games and some really good games. Also, Fitz's running ability made them look better than they really were on several occasions making positive gains out of what should have been sacks. Let's not get it twisted, the O line was inconsistent all year long.
Yes, they had bad games when Fitz played, and good games when he didn't. That's not a coincidence, and I don't think it's because they didn't like him.
It's not because they didn't like him, it's because they are an inconsistent unit. They had some good games when he played, they had some bad games when he played. They had some good games when he didn't play, they had some bad games when he didn't play. There's a reason why the O line coach got fired and it's not because he was just too awesome for them.
So 12 is "still good" for the O line, but the QB with the 9th best QB rating "sucks". Just so long as you are consistent.
And even if we want to stick to PFF rankings, according to their DVOA, Fitz ranks 13th, is that "still good" or does it "suck"?
The OLine was horrendous up until the Cleveland game. After that, it didn't matter who the QB was, the pass blocking was very, very good regardless of who played QB. When Fitz returned, the OLine was still doing well.
