Actually now may be a great time to get the most bang for the buck with DMO if what your saying is true about other teams noticing him. Buy low and sell high.

The problem with that idea is that you can't easily replace him like you could with other players on the team. There aren't many talented 7 footers in the NBA, especially at the PF position. If you traded away Jones or whatever, you could find another athletic 6'9 PF easily, if you traded away Bev, you could find another PF that plays tenacious defense fairly easily. You don't trade away scarce resources unless you have no other choice or unless you are getting scarce resources in return.

Of course there's still people clamoring to trade the best young player on this team. Why wouldn't there be?

The poor critical thinking ability of most people never ceases to amaze.

With all the "untradebale" "elite" and "scarce resources" comments about DMO, I really feel now is the time to move him while his value is crazy high, he can help the team acquire that 3rd Star that Morey craves so badly.

So if D-Mo was in the NBA draft this coming season, what pick would he go? He would obviously be older (24 y.o.) than most other players, but certainly much more refined. My guess would be that he would be a top 10 pick for sure, so that kind of defines his trade value (not that I want any part of trading him).

What are you going get back? Gasol in Chicago? There's really no specimen with Dmo's abilities at his current size and salary.

While i agree that Dmo is not a great rebounder and he loses some rebound battles with strong, one of the reasons he does not grab many rebounds is because he focusses on boxing out. He really plays like a team player.

The most disappointing thing is that the people that are hating on DMo and wanting to trade him were probably Yao fans supporting him when he was a 12/6 player still developing. DMo is an even better passer with more mobility. What are you guys thinking?

I would try and move him for Lebron at this point since their's no specimen with his rare abilities and untradeable elite status.

I know you were trying to be sarcastic, but I honestly would only trade him for about 25-30 guys in the league, and most of them aren't realistically available.

Call me crazy, but even with a healthy Lebron and DMo gone, this team would sink. DMo still provides some interior defense and rebounding that would make Lebron negligible at this point in his career unless the Rox decide to trade Harden to make room.

I dunno, it would be a weird team, but I could see how a

    Dwight
    Smith
    Lebron
    Harden
    Bev

    team could be amazing.

Either way, it's irrelevant because that deal would never be done.

DMo playing in the playoffs will ultimately define where he really is even though so many want to crown him as the 2nd best player on this team... we will definitely see.

It's a matter of fit for Houston and look at Lebron's current team? Trash. Irving, Love and solid role players and he still can't make it work. Dwight isn't even 100% and we know Dwight is not a superstar but rather an elite super role player. Lebron would have no post player to really post up lol... It won't work and there would be clashes in the locker room between Harden and Lebron.. Harden is not a passive Wade with a championship, severe injuries ready to play Robin to Lebron. Hell na...

Okay dude... The nba would make sure that team didn't sink even if it didn't work which in reality it just would.

Dmo isn't untradable....but there isn't anyone available worth trading him for. That includes Dragic IMO and I think dragic is the best upgrade possibly even remotely available to us.

You hold onto dmo unless you're getting a player who can replace what he brings, maybe not the exact same things but can improve us net value at least for what we'd be losing with him.

You don't win by SELLING all the danged time - you have to put a stake in the ground and develop your chemistry.

This whole SHINY OBJECT IN THE STREAM mentality is horrible.

Rudy T built a winner by keeping the core intact and adding role players.....

That is what we need to be doing.....DMo is one of the best young bigs in the game today - you keep him.
