There was also a guy in Paris who went to a police station and stabbed policemen while screaming "Allahu akbar" before getting shot.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...Bertrand-Nzohabonayo-was-Islamic-convert.html

French knife attacker Bertrand Nzohabonayo was Islamic convert
Man shot dead by French police had changed name to Bilal and posted Isil flag on Facebook

French police investigating a young man shot dead after he attacked officers with a knife while shouting "Allahu Akbar” ("God is great" in Arabic), say that he was a convert to Islam and had this week updated his Facebook profile page with a photo of the black flag of the Islamic State.
Police shot Bertrand Nzohabonayo on Saturday after he wounded three officers outside a police station in Joue-les-Tours near the central city of Tours.
Mr Nzohabonayo, a 20-year-old French national originally from Burundi, took the name of Bilal when he converted several years ago and had recently taken to posting radical Islamist statements on his Facebook page, according to intelligence sources.
He was known to police for petty crimes but was not on any watch list of the French intelligence services, said Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, who rushed to the scene after the attack.
Anti-terror investigators have opened an inquiry into the incident for attempted murder and other offences related to terrorism.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), which has seized control of swathes of Iraq and Syria, has repeatedly urged its followers to attack citizens of France and other countries which have joined the coalition to destroy it.
"There are grounds to probe whether he (Nzohabonayo) acted alone , whether he followed orders, or whether it was a mindless action," the Tours prosecutor Jean-Luc Beck told BFM television.
Mr Nzohabonayo turned up at the police station on Saturday afternoon and began banging on the door, police said. When an officer opened it, he slashed him in the face, narrowly missing his jugular, and he then managed to overcome and wound a second officer who had drawn his gun. A policewoman then shot him in the chest.
Police said the assailant had cried “Allahu Akbar” throughout the attack.
France, like many other European countries, is worried about the risk of attacks by nationals who return home after waging jihad in the Middle East.
A Frenchman of Algerian origin is the main suspect in the murders of four people at Brussels' Jewish Museum in May. He had spent more than a year fighting with extremists in Syria.
In 2012, French Islamist Mohammed Merah killed seven people in Toulouse.
A year later, a 22-year-old French Muslim convert stabbed a soldier in the La Defense business district of Paris.

    -----------------------------

The resident leftists are of course going to say..."but crusades"..."socio-economic reasons"..."the USA started it"..."but Israel"...."Islam has nothing to do with it". We have heard it all before.

Goodness gracioust! Another one !! Now muslims are attacking xmas.

    http://rt.com/news/216827-france-lorry-crash-christmas/
A 25-year-old man "deliberately" drove the van into the market crowded with families and kids, local media say. After that he attempted to take his life, stabbing himself in the chest several times. A source close to the investigation told AFP that the man was seriously injured but alive. He was taken to hospital.

Witnesses told L'Express the man was shouting "Allahu Akbar". Now media reports suggest this was a “jihadist attack”, however this has not been confirmed by officials.

Reports on the number of injured are conflicting with Le Figaro suggesting there are 17 casualties, while Focusur.fr reports at least 12 were injured and five are in serious condition.

Allahu Akbar is the war cry for death.

It should be stricken from the scriptures.

Although I'm not opposed to deporting muslims who do not share basic views with their parent countries, the brothers who did the Hebdo shooting faked being easily assimilated. I think mosques have to make their walls open to government surveillance.... moderates say no malicious words are said ... maybe in jest ... but these weekly and biweekly incidents show stronger controls need to be taken. Respect is earned and the community, especially in Europe, lost it a long time ago.

The third guy was actually invited to the presidential palace and shook Sarkozy's hand a few years ago. It was on TV as an example of good integration.

Seriously what do these **** heads think they are accomplishing for the Muslim community in France by performing these acts?

Can you blame a French citizen for second guessing a Muslim at this moment? Is that French citizen still considered a bigot?

If you can definitively judge a community of millions by the actions of a dozen or less, your judgement is probably wrong.

I don't believe the radicals goals are to accomplish things for the Muslim community...??? There's a war raging within Islam. They kill more Muslims than anyone else. Looks to me like they're trying to turn the world against all Muslims so it will be harder for them and make it easier to try to convert them to radicals like themselves.

it depends on the attack in question. If you murder schoolchildren, or are racially motivated to attack Asians or sexually motivated to attacking women, or murder your schoolmates, you're not a terrorist: you're mentally deranged.

Even when you lay out your ideology.

There is a common thread that runs along all of these attacks though: it's irrational, disgusting violence.

I doubt these individuals' motives are this far reaching. It's plain and simple. They love their prophet. Their prophet was insulted. Islamic doctrine explicitly states that blasphemers must be punished. They fulfilled their religious duties.

And human judgement is usually rash and not reasonable in times of chaos. Could you imagine what would happen to a Christian minority group in Saudi Arabia if these level of attacks repeatedly occurred in Saudi on Muslim citizens?

Are you paying attention to what's being said about Muslims... Even in this forum you have people grouping all Muslims in with the radicals and are wanting to hold all Muslims responsible for the actions of a few. Just look at the post. And plus they're on a 24 hour news loop getting the attention from the media they want.

I'm not saying that it will work, but I do believe that's what they're trying to do.

Besides downbytheriver, I don't see any poster grouping all muslims with extremist ideology. What some posters are saying, including me, is that the core fundamentals of Islam espouse violent retribution and you are misunderstanding that notion with generalizing all Muslims.

I didn't generalize Muslims. I said the radicals are trying to get the world to generalize Muslims...

I think there is some miscommunication here. I know you are not generalizing all Muslims. I said you are confusing the notion of generalizing all Muslims with posters criticizing the core ideology of Islam.

I don't think I'm confusing the notion of generalizing all Muslims because I live in a country where minorities (especially black Americans) are generalized.

Right, and second guessing a black person because of crime rates, academic performances, and celebrity images of his peers doesn't make you a racist either
