Nivos - Sane wasn't really that sane. He is long gone (at least under that user name).

Sadly, we had and have people like that, even here on the board.

I find atheism to be the better BECAUSE it changes over time. I'd make sure the holy book is reviewed every 100 years or so.

listening/reading people's explanations of why their blind faith is the ultimate truth is so infuriating.

    Yes, yes, there certainly are:

    dmc89 for sure.

Azadre has become a lot wiser over the years, if I may say so.
BrownBeast99 seems to be very sincere.
sammy and s land balla, too.

And I am sure I am forgetting some.

try watching Dawkins vs Pell and listen to the cardinal bumble and bull**** his way through question after question in a stacked religious audience, then imagine the fury when he says that religion is EXEMPT from any evidence based discussion cause "ohh, err, it appeals to what cannot be appeal to physically"

People need simply grow out of this delusion, whether or not one finds comfort in religion is another matter that does not in any way addresses whether or not god exists.

I have no issue in people believing what they want. But when their views are imposed and responsible for the death and misery of millions then it becomes an entirely different issue.

By the way, Sane was good for some more gems...sadly, he is not a total outlier.

    and

But adeelsiddiqui didn't want to be too far behind...he is still an extremist now, but he tries to hide his extremist views on this board...in other circles, he goes off in a much different way.

There is so much more, I can't even quote them all.

Muslims are more tolerant of other religions? BWHAHAHA

Your last sentence by the way is why some Muslims still think it is okay to stone people, behead and beat their wives.

You keep living in your bubble brotha.

I was Muslim for the first 18 years of my life. I left Islam for two reasons
    1. Lack of sufficient and valid evidence for Islamic claims
    2. The disgusting life the prophet lived for a man who was allegedly the most pious, morally praiseworthy individual of all time.

wow... just realized I posted back in time. Sane, are you still with us buddy?

Thoughts and ideas are mostly the same in the forum, but the discourse has deteriorated.
