Just read that apparently, the two terrorists in Dammartin had no idea there was a man in the building (the presumed hostage) and he was hiding, giving the police information on where the terrorists where.

    balls.

they should have had trained snipers shoot those guys in the leg or legs. why give them what they want? now there is no locking them up for life and no interrogating them. those guys nailed their entire plan...from the killings to the very end...and did it terribly well unfortunately.

They thought they had a hostage. Also, they had Kalashnikovs. They can still do damage when you are shot in the legs.

If true, yeah. Balls for sure. That sounds like a scene from a movie. If the female terrorist actually did escape from the grocery store when the hostages ran out, that's another "scene from a movie," as was pointed out above. Some of this stuff would be dismissed by movie goers as absurd, "That just couldn't happen!" I'm having a very difficult time believing that the woman terrorist actually got away like that.

I like the French approach with killing all the terrorists. Boston PD should've ended marathon bomber #2. Now that garbage will go through a trial and be fed by the taxpayers.

Curious how people on terrorist watch lists can get rocket launchers and AK47s. Seems... odd.

Borders in Europe are open. You can smuggle in pretty much anything. And they were obviously in contact with Al Qaeda in Yemen.

Have you never been to Parisian bodega? It's all like "cheese aisle" and then "snotty cravat aisle" and "mustache wax aisle" and then you get to the explosives aisle.

Has it been determined why they chose that printing place? Did that place have anything to do with printing Charlie Hebdo?

Here's a nice timeline with many details, facts, and photos.

And note, Phreak3, that the apple of your eye is still at large, so there's still a chance for a (possibly deadly) hook up.

To sum up from the info released by the french media, there were 2 hostage situations (linked as the terrorists all knew each other):
1/ the Kouachi brothers in a warehouse in the suburbs of Paris. They had 2 hostages when entering the building: the owner, whom they let free around 10:30am, and an employee who was hidden in an office on the 2nd floor. They were never aware of his presence. the Kouachis died around 5pm shot by the GIGN while attempting a last raid (as they wanted to die as martyrs) exiting the building.
2/ Amedy Coulibaly and his wife in the grocery store in Paris. When entering the store he shot 3 people and held hostage the others. During that time he phoned some people (yet tobe determined) and on the last call didn't hang up correctly. The cops were then able to hear everything in the store (most notebly a conversation between the hostages and the terrorist where he tries to justify his acts). The GIGN went in when they heared the guy praying (last payer before suicidal act?). His wife seemed to have fled when all the hostages wherelet out.

The story now is that Coulibaly and the younger Kouachi brother met in prison and were radicalised(sp?) during that period.
Most light should be shed as the investigation progresses.

They're saying now that she may not have even been in the country at the time of the attack so no need to take her to prison... Unless you just want to.

Yeah, I'm wondered in a thread somewhere in D&D if that would continue. I think there may be a movement now to reinstitute some level of border control. Sad if it comes to pass, but perhaps something like that is needed now.

They need to use their beliefs against them - don't they hate pigs blood or something, bury them with that, or whatever beliefs they have about virgins and the afterlife use it against them...and let others know they will get the same.
