D-Mo needs to be a featured player on offense. And he is always in the right spot on defense. Just unbelievable.
I think I was ok about losing DMo...now I am more than convinced he needs to remain...DMo actually knows how to play the game and does so unselfishly...He has his limitations, but the guy was straight hustling and Mchale took him out to bring back Dwight... The final lineup in this game shouldve been: DMo - 5 Ariza - 4 Brewer - 3 Harden - 2 Beverley - 1
I am probably the biggest Morey supporter there is. But he absolutely ****ed up signing Josh Smith. It has marginalized D-Mo and completely removed Papa from the rotation (two things I called) and that is hurting this team. Guys like D-Mo and Papa bring ball movement and unselfish play that you can't teach. Those sorts of things are irreplaceable to a team and vital to a successful campaign. Now we have a ****ty pg in Bev dribbling around like he's the second coming of Steve Francis doing nothing on the court. Smith who it's obvious why Detroit paid him to go away. And Ariza back in his garbage 09 role trying to create. ****ing wonderful. Normally I hate when people pine for the guy at the end of the bench. But this time it's obvious if D-Mo, Canaan, and Papa were back with the addition of Brewer, this team would have been better off. Awesome job promising Smith the starting job. Could potentially go down as one of Morey's biggest mistakes.
If it doesn't work you bench or cut hi...Or you think Morey would be afraid of the repercussions with future FAs?
I think Morey would be scared of the repercussions from Dwight. Also Morey doesn't cut players that often. Too bad we signed smith too late and he can't be traded in February.
DMO has this demeanor even when he isn't scoring or having a good game his energy is always up and tat alone can affect a game. Josh doesn't have that he slumps. I think that comes with being on bad teams.
The whole starting lineup don't have that right now for some reason. Did you see Harden standing at midcourt? Nene and Gortat running the floor harder than Dwight?
It's painfully obvious that D-Mo is the best option in the front court for this team. No way Morey trades this guy at the deadline. This team would be significantly worse without him. He just does so many little things that go unnoticed. Keeping the ball moving. Constantly setting effective picks. Running the court full speed. Moving his feet on defense. And then there's his deadly post game. D-Mo is the single most important young player on this team. And he still has a few more seasons until he hits his prime.
