I can see this happening but they'll probably want to see if the team can still defend at an elite level with Jones out there. It might be interesting to see because I think DMo plus the NO pick will get a kings ransom when you consider what the nuggets got for Mozgof.

Josh Smith becomes insurance and fights for backup minutes....

TJones should probably start over DMo but right now, he is going so well you don't screw up a good thing.

Isn't he going to need significant time to work himself back into playing shape anyways?

This. Who knows when he is coming back anyway? Get him back into shape and keep him for a playoff run.

You have to give something to get something. The suns won't help us win a championships for nothing, or pennies for the dollar.

Lol Jones hasnt even been moving much the past couple of months. He will need serious rehab to get his leg back to what it was previously. If he comes back I'm not too sure he will be effective as his explosiveness will have taken a big hit

Well he'll need to work his way back from the bench. While Dmo continues to start. And we cannot assume his nerve, leg is healed and trade Dmo away. Knowing it could come back to bother him

DMo is a better defender, a better post up player and a better long range shooter. TJones is a better rebounder/shot blocker and great handles. IMO, DMo needs to remain in the starting 4 spot and let TJones take backup minutes at the 5 in a small ball line up with JSmoove.

If I was Terrence's agent and he likes it here i would ensure that injury keeps me out past the deadline

I think I prefer Jones over Smith. Jones doesn't make as many boneheaded mistakes as Smith does. I think Jones play better with Dwight. They all can play, there are enough minutes. Smith for defense, and Jones for no Boneheaded plays.

That is interesting, sort of pull a mini McGrady.

The team always seems to struggle a bit just before the deadline as they worry that Trader Joe will send them packing.

It's not worth it to kill the depth at the 5 and have a hole at the starting 4 by trading DMo.

Dmo and the NOP pick is an all in move not sure you do that without Jones being 100%. That being said if you're going to make a move with the NOP pick seems like it needs to be done now at the deadline and of course prior to the draft.

As someone else mentioned if Mozgov nets you two first rounders what's DMo and the NOP pick worth?

    Lawson?

i'm pretty sure jones will sit on the bench unless jsmoove sucks so much that jones takes his minutes.

Well, we can always try Josh Smith at SF. Maybe he's a better fit there.

    j/k

You are underestimating Jones' ability to move without the ball and his finishing around the rim. Those little hook shots that DMo gets? With Jones they're dunks. Jones should definitely start next to Howard once he's healthy.

the only way you are untradeable is if you are James Harden when the GM is Morey

Jones contributes to a more fluent offense it must be said he is a good finisher. it's a great problem to have cos D-Mo is so good in the post
