Then if it were up to you I guess you let Kawhi walk if your the spurs. Also your beloved 7 foot DMO grabbed a whopping 2 rebounds last night and that is starting to really worry me.
I care. in the playoffs it matters big time. I have seen many times where smaller players out scrap him for the ball and even pull the ball away from him. Don't know if its lack of strength or he's just not a natural rebounder of the ball.
this not playoffs it seems like youre nitpicking...not everbody can do all things but you can play everone to his strenghts... DMO is our most efficient player on offense (when whistles are silent)...he can have zero rebounds... just feed him the ball...its not like mchale doesnt give him playing time because hes not rebounding.... he is giving him PT but not feeding him the ball in the post...instead he ordrs the worst and coldest bricklayers in NBA to shoot 3s and long 2s....and all that against the team with weak post defense... the more you think about it the more this article seems true....i mean we probably must be tanking to avoid OKC and Spurs...or the rockets are just a cover up/facade for some elaborate betting manipulation... the other thing that seems plausible is DMo is perhaps a weak Beta of the group and has no internal streght to face alphas and demand the ball...but even if this is true its again on mchale coaching... but i simply can not believe HOFer can be so inept at coaching and leadership.... it must be something other than that...
God dammit, how you prepare DMo for playoff if dont give mins and confidence in the paint day in, day out. For all critics in PO in critical time (hack a Dwigth, hack a Smooth) DMo and TJ migth be our bigs. I know It sounds ridicules, but slow effitiant game in post, good D, it sounds good fit in PO to me, good to be develope those skills in season thou.
I'm not going to be worried about an individual player's rebound total in one game where we out-rebounded the other team by 13.
Shh... Mr. Clutch, don't back this up with real stats. DMo is our next Hakeem. LOL, I can't believe I could even type that . I like DMo, but some of these posts give him a lot of credit. I have noticed this trend on here where some posters get attached to our role players. The reason DMo is successful is because he isn't on anyone's radar, if he ever becomes our main option I don't think he would do well handling regular double teams
its because hes forced to shoot 3s instead to post up... dwight 2pt % is higher because you didnt included all those dwights turnovers in Dwights 2pt fg%...Dwight is a turnover machine ( or perhaps our guys dont know how to give him ball in proper position) Do you real need stats to know that DMO is more efficient scorer than Dwight? Everybody knows it...even Morey himself knows it and I guess he knows a thing or 2 about stats... I applaud your caution but if you real need the stat to confirm you this then youre not very knowlegeable about basketball...
Such a crafty passer will hardly ever have trouble passing out of double teams Everybody around the league and even Morey himself is giving him a lot of credit... btw can you cite a single post in which someone said DMO will be next Hakeem?
I think his passing out of a double would be better than Dwight's since his moves are quicker and he doesn't put his head down and try to bully his way. He would never be the main option, but he clearly is our best offensive post player. Dwight would be better suited to defer to dmo, clean his misses, and play off rolling to the rim. He had a nice behind the back and another alley oop yesterday setting Dwight up easily. It's the possibility of what he could be, it's his third year, first getting consistent pt. I'll admit I'm attached, but I think if gets the confidence he'll be one of the better pf/c in the league.
From the guy who dropped this gem a few posts back: "why not feed DMO whole night long in the post against Cavs nonexistent backcourt..." D-Mo is a legit post threat for sure. But basically demanding that he be the teams first option on offense is still a stretch. From your posts it sounds like we should be building a team around this guy. And you'd be a fool to ignore statistics. Eye tests are fine but perception bias is a hell of a thing.
DMo is very nice. Our 2nd best offensive option. I'm just saying he isn't elite. He's not Boogie Cousins. He's a taller, better Scola in the post. He's getting Linified in the GARM.
youre speaking as if statistics doesnt support it... it does support it... i dont see how it is a stretch except that it would be a 'new' thing but stranger things happened... remmeber when all people claimed PO rotation is 8 guys only... then POP won the title with 10 man(or perhaps even more) deep rotation... remember pop also playing his players no more than 30 mins and we were running Harden into ground 2 seasons(so to make him franchise player who must play 38-40 mins) in row so he lays egg in playoffss nets coach benching deron williams and brook lopez for good... just going by eye test DMO is even better option than Harden...whistels or not DMO always well almost always gets a good shot(near the basket and shot that makes sense/has a good chance of going in) and its a basket or a close (in and out) miss... while harden is forcing things so many times...and boy when whistels are silent harden is a turnover machine....
After watching Timofey Mozgov get auctioned off for 2 first rounders I'm wondering what DMo's trade value is. (Personally I wouldn't trade him at this point.)
