i'm having a difficult time believing the whole "islam is a religion of peace" thing. although all religion is stupid.

I consider myself a liberal, and I think these murderers are absolute scum, and that Muslims need to send a very clear and loud message that they do not agree with this type of behavior. Stop trying to make this liberal vs conservative, just because it makes you feel better about yourself or something. Kind of like the dumb and totally out of context video of Obama that you feel the need to keep posting. Just give it a break for once, and try to have an intelligent conversation about a real problem in this world.

Religion and violence (or using religion as an excuse for violence) has always went hand and hand.

Christianity had its dark ages.. I don't deny that. But they came out of it. They evolved. People, evolved. Islam has dominated terrorist in the last 3 decades because of their inability to evolve. Look at the present, brother, and what's led to this point.

I can see that whole Christianity was violent too argument, but that was hundreds of years ago. while the rest of the world have evolved their values, morals and beliefs, the Islam world still seems to be stuck in the middle ages in the way they live and think. while I used to believe that it was poverty, undeveloped that is hindering Muslims in these countries from evolving, I'm starting to think that it's more the other way around. The literal interpretation of a 2000 year book and making laws and living their lives according to it is what's really holding them back. it's not just the issue with extremism and violence, their backward thinking on women's rights, gay rights and laws in a lot of Muslim majority countries are ridiculously behind the times it's laughable that it's allowed to exist in the 21st century. What I find more fascinating is the liberal twitter crowd being apologists for the religion every single time one of these events takes place, it's like clockwork. The same SJW that preaches all day about rape culture and feminism and human rights comes out of the wood works to take responsibility and accountability from the religion.

He is objecting to your use of quotations on "they had it coming..." He talks about "consequences" and untoward outcomes "sooner or later" but never said "had it coming." Splitting hairs.
