Not that any of the Lakers is playing very good defense, but I am blaming Kobe for giving up 70 points to the Clippers. He just doesn't move at all on defense, not his feet, not even raising his hands for a token contest when his man just stood there and took a couple of seconds to load up for a stand-still 3 point shot 6 feet away from him. The rest of them at least pretend to be trying. You can't have your "team leader" just not bothering with defense if you want to come close to being competitive. And on offense, he's not really attacking, just slinging wild passes around. Some of them became assists, but others result in turnovers-- which further fuels the Clippers. I wonder if Kobe's knees are just not right again and he needs another week off. Maybe he'll come out in the 2nd half on fire, but he doesn't look right.
