Yeah, but that was announced before the season they were gonna call it like that. They just only enforced it on Kevin and not Kobe, etc.
Even when he goes in for the layup and the ball just bounces of the rim or something, he is still getting fouled with no call. Stop acting like he is not trying to make a shot.
You don't care that the referees seem to have decided that Harden no longer gets foul calls on aggressive drives to the basket? That is a huge part (roughly 10-12 pts) of our offense. Dwight, Josh, DMo, Dorsey, all bad/terrible free throw shooters. If McHale and Harden "don't care" it would mean adjusting our entire offensive strategy.
I don't get this. Would you fault a team that is amazing at 3s? Is it weak if a team beats by pure shooting alone? We are using the rules to our play, the fault should be on the refs and the rules not the player.
Trying to get fouled is literally the opposite of weak or soft or the phrase you used. you can say it's stupid if you want, but it's not soft to inetentionally get yourself hacked and knocked to the ground.
Driving full speed and then jumping into a group of large athletic men who are all trying to stop you is the EXACT OPPOSITE of p***y ass ****. That is gladiator ass **** that separates the great from the good.
Right. Harden might to a head snap to sell a call occasionally, but he isn't flopping or not trying to shoot driving it in like he does.
Half the time he's not! If they beat you by the 3, well good for them! You know what they say about the 3: live and die by the 3! Adjusting the offensive strategy?! That wouldn't be such a bad thing, to be honest. Not my fault Morey employs a three/free/layup philosophy but put together a roster that sucks at 2/3rds of it!
??? Why in the world are you calling our superstar, MVP-candidate, best-player-we've-had-in-a-really-long-time shooting guard a "p***y-ass"?? WTF If you think he doesn't deserve all his foul calls, fine. But don't act like that's the only thing he does. He is an amazing all-around offensive player. He was player of the month for December for God's sake. December ended like a few days ago.
For some, it's more fun to hate the players on the team than to cheer for them. It's best to ignore them.
As much as we miss the points that he should be getting from being fouled, what is worse is the way that it changes his style during the game. When he sees that he isn't getting calls he has a tendency to become much more tentative and he stops attacking. When he stops attacking, we are faced with the sad reality that he is our only creator and that is why (IMO) our offense has been dying in the 4th. Harden loses his edge because he sees that the other team is allowed to chop his arms to pieces when he goes into the paint.
What *exactly* is the adjustment he should make? Not go to the paint? Or Goto the Paint . . get fouled. . miss the shot .. and listen to people b**** about a bad shot selection? Rocket River
he can adapt all he wants when the other team gets to hack your two best players there's not much you can do. maybe you hack them back though, worth a tech
Refs swallow the whistles. It'll go back into his favor at some point, just hope we're not on the bad side of the trend come playoff time.
It would help Harden out so much of we actually ran plays getting him free and easy buckets. You know like every other team does with their stars
