Sorry, Galaxy was "amazing". Thor looked "solid". Splitting hairs. Nonetheless, my point still holds fairly true, i.e. there were significant doubts about those two films prior to release.
No, we're not splitting hairs. If you want to quote someone, make it accurate. As for there being doubts on the movies, uh yeah duh? Especially Guardians is very out there, and an unknown property. Again, I'm talking about ALL of the material that was released prior to the movie, including the leaked Comic-con trailer which I'm sure you didn't see. That material looked like a major hit to me, and that's why I hyped the movie as much as I did. As you can see, I wasn't wrong. I didn't hype up Thor at all.
That's the best you could do? My feelings are so hurt, some random called DonkeyMagic says I'm a douche on the internet! NOOOOOO whatever shall I dooooooooo?! My life is overrrrr.
Ant-man did have more production issues than those other two. Wright leaving was a massive red flag. Trailer did nothing to alleviate concerns.
I doubted both. I ended up not caring for GOTG. I doubt Ant-Man even more though. Of course the primary purpose of Ant-Man is really to set up Age of Ultron.
Really? Okay, I see they completely dumped Pym as Ultron's creator. They could have just ignored Ant-Man.
I think they planned to have this one out earlier, but the change of directors put it behind schedule. Its going to be greatly over shadowed by Ultron
That's certainly true and changing of directors is a red flag, especially because Wright seemed to be a good fit. Regardless, doubts and all , it's hard to write it off as a turd. We will find out eventually of whether they can give some life to this kind of character...it's certainly a challenge.
I still think we will get flashback scenes and find out Pym had a hand in creating Ultron. I'm interested in seeing how this will fit in the MCU timeline wise.
I don't think so regarding Ultron/Pym... Spoiler The leaked information is making it sound like they found the Ultron AI in the rubble from the battle of New York. Stark and Banner then do some tinkering which results in Ultron. At least that's what everything has said to this point...
I heard Rudd or Douglas might have played an early role somehow. That was recent. Not sure how valid. Movies aren't even out yet and their retconning stuff, very true to the comicbook way.
Spoiler Howard Stark and Agent Carter are in the movie, so hopefully we get to see a young Hank Pym maybe discovering the pym particles, and I'm sure there will be some easter eggs as well. I've heard rumors that the Ultron AI was awakened by Tony, maybe an old experiment Howard Stark and Pym locked up a long time ago? Whatever the case, I'm still excited to see this movie.
Spoiler Looks like I mixed it up a bit, Banner has a hand in creating Vision -- Stark creates Ultron based off the Chitauri program or what have you. http://www.newsarama.com/23104-ultr...nfirmed-leaks-for-avengers-age-of-ultron.html
Spoiler I think it would been better to have pym create Ultron, so he would have a purpose in the MU. I'm struggling to see where pym fits in the MU.
