Breaking News - Three Gunman in Paris kill 12 and are on the loose.

This is just awful. Hope they catch the murderers soon.

heard some analyst on MSNBC radio today say the authorities should have known this was coming because of the way they restrict Muslims in France (not allowed to wear burqas, etc.).

 

The unfortunate bit in my mind (aside from the obvious stuff like all the murders) is that it was a conspiracy of several people. Most of the incidents we've had have been lone wolf things. Lone wolves are harder to detect because they don't have to talk with anyone else (and they usually seem to stem from some kind mental illness too). Operations with several people involved should be easier (though maybe not easy) to detect, but were not in this case. It also suggests these were rational actors, and not just one guy acting out his mental illness in a destructive way.

 

This should be in D&D, then I would respond to that last post.

 

yup from what I heard, it was methodical and likely took months of planning. There had to be at least 3 people involved and possibly a couple more as inconspicuous backup plan of some sort.

So this was an attack in respone to these guys satirical cartoons. That is sad man

This is like raising children to be "free thinkers" but in reality your children are rotten brats that walk all over you and do whatever the hell they want, whenever they want.

Islam needs a radical change now. The longer those middle eastern countries exist as havens for extremist Islamic views the longer everyone else will suffer.

All the smart, reasonable Muslims that don't want to live in those **** holes are emigrating to other countries and moving on with their lives. We can't have change if everyone just runs away from it.

 

this happened in france though, and these dudes were yelling in french.
there's a large emigrant population in france. most likely they were home grown.

 

i thought radical muslims even before clicking on this thread i would have thought the same it were in the netherlands too.

in the uk and australia a lot these young people who become radicals who then travel overseas to fight in those wars are brought up and even born in those countries, ie uk and australia.

 

I'm assuming the gunmen were born and raised in France (or at least a French speaking country). I fail to understand what it is they're rebelling against. If it wasn't for the country in which they live, they wouldn't even have the means to rise up and attack.
