man Jennings was playing terrible before that too. 4-17 FG and he missed like 3 straight shots. way to redeem himself.

Fouling was a pretty dumb move considering that their team was struggling so much at the free throw line. It seemed like a show-off coaching move considering the circumstances. It's hard to question Pop.

This shocking loss can be the kind of thing that jolts the Spurs into form. They've lost 8/12 and tonight could represent the bottom. Patty Mills is back, TP needs to get past his hammy problem and Kawhi Leonard is expected to return within 2 weeks.

SVG should be GM of the year. This trade has put the Pistons right back into playoff contention after being a bottom feeder. Wow, what a turnaround.

Spurs will be fine. Pop knows his team probably won't get HCA in the playoffs. So the main thing for him is health, and peaking at the right time.

Pistons 6-0 since Smith was cut.

Rockets 3-4 since Smith was signed.

It's hard to argue Smith isn't directly responsible for the former. The latter however....well, time will tell. But aside from that Memphis win in his debut, the early results ain't looking good.

Of course the waiving of Smith is a very big reason why the Pistons are playing well. They can actually play guys at their real position instead of trying to fit Smith at the SF position for 30+ minutes a game. It was an addition by subtraction.

For the Rockets, the results have been troubling but it looks to be heading in the right direction with Dmo starting and Smith coming off the bench.

But also look at our schedule during this span. Memphis, San Antonio, Wizards, Hornets, Pelicans, Heat and the Bulls; that's a pretty tough schedule. 3-4 is not ideal but three of those games I felt like we should have won if not for some late game mistakes (Spurs and Wizards) and horrible calls (or lack of calls.. Bulls game ). Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the team went 4-3 or 3-4 during that span without the addition of Smith. But also adding other players like Brewer, Shved for a couple of games and integrating Howard back, and you can't blame Smith purely for this troubling span of games the Rockets have had lately.

I might agree with you if SVG had traded Smith in the summer instead of waiting 28 games into the season and cutting him.
