Congrats, Biggio! But, I also had to LOL at this quote from Johnson: "I don't think people quite understand how difficult it is to be 6-foot-10 and be throwing a ball 60 feet, 6 inches away," Johnson said. "In order to do that, you have to be consistent with your release point and where you're landing and your arm slot and all that. For someone 6-1, 6-2, there's less body to keep under control, so it's a lot easier." Once a douchebag, always a douchebag, eh, Randy?

One of my favorite players. Biggio played the game the right way; played hard, gave his all and had fun doing it. One of the better moments I rememember was when the Astros finally pushed through to the World Series and him and Bags, casually and calmly, as if years of frustration had been swept away, strolled onto the field. They finally made it.
Raines is better than Biggio. Biggio is a compiler. Biggio is not famous enough. Biggio sucked in the playoffs. Biggio is very good but this isnt the hall of very good. That type of stuff.
Don't people revere Ryne Sandberg as a quintessential HOF second basemen? Biggio's numbers vs. Sandberg's are eerily similar. Biggio slightly (very slightly) better in most areas.
lol some national fox sports radio host even went to the "craig hit 81 homeruns in the final four years , why isn't he being talked about with steroids." haters going to hate.
Feels good, finally an Astro in the HOF. Great player and a great person. In an era where it was increasingly difficult to root for people it was a pleasure to grow up rooting for him and Dream. Congratulations
Should've made it on his 1st ballot! Craig Biggio is the definition of Hall Of Fame! Very few players, in any sport leave, left it on the field the way he did. I've always been more of a basketball and football guy. But Biggio made me watch baseball. And to be honest, I haven't really cared about baseball since he retired... When I was a kid my brother was diagnosed with cancer. Through the Sunshine Kids foundation we got to meet him. Played whiffle ball at Minute Maid Park... Like strait up on the field! After that we went up stairs and ate lunch with him. It was a long time ago, I'm now 21, but I remember pretty much every detail. He was so cool about everything. Really down to earth, him and my dad talked for hours it seemed like. He prayed for my brother, signed stuff, took pictures, the whole 9 yards. It was an amazing experience. A bright spot during a really tough time in my family. Btw My brother beat cancer and has been healthy for 10+ years. I doubt Biggio remembers it, he's probably done the same thing for countless other families. But my family will never forget it. He's a Hall of Fame baseball player and Hall of Fame dude!
I heard this and was screaming at my radio. Minute Maid and the Crawford Boxes had a ton to do with this.
