LOL @ Jeremy's airball with the game on the line. The one thing he is really consistent at. But as krxsnoopy would say, if the Lakers were up 8 points with a minute left, "Lin with the dagger". *laugh* Cant rely on Lin to make those open jumpers when the stakes are high. Just look at the last game in the Blazers series. Blazers left him wide open the entire quarter and he was heaving some heavy bricks the entire quarter. They were not even close.
It is in NBA Dish. However, the way Jeremy Lin has been playing and if it keeps up, this thread might have to be moved to Unsorted.
Yikes. Great stepback and then he bumrushed the shot with an awkward release. Maybe he has massive anxiety issues or something? This guy chokes a lot. Reminds me of myself in junior high lol.
I saw that sequence. When he made the stepback, I was immediately thinking "no way, that was a good move. It's gonna be an airball". Oh man...
Jeremy Lin shooting an airball on a potential game tying shot is comical, but still understandable. It's physics and gravity. But the real travesty is taking such a terrible looking shot with 18.9 seconds to go in the game down only 3 points, and coming off a timeout and a designed in-bounds pass play. Total team failure from Byron Scott on downward. Is that the best you can draw up? "Listen up guys, whoever catches the in-bounds pass, just try to juke your defender and pull the trigger in less than 2 seconds. Okay. We go this. Go team!"
Nick Young in a 2 for 1 situation with 30+ seconds to go down 3 points, dribbled till the game clock was about 24 seconds then jack up a long contested 2-pt shot and missed badly. That was beyond dumb. And I wonder why the coach did not yell to them to either hurry up or take the time to set up a good 3pt shot.
Or maybe Lin is just getting lessons from Kobe. Which of course is shoot the jumper regardless of the situation. I mean, Lin for all his faults in Houston has never been one to jack up bad shots in crunch time.
