3 years ago my policy was 1050.00 now its around 1950.00 is this a current trend with home owners insurance. Are you guys experiencing the same thing? I am with liberty mutual now..

But I am looking to switch if you guys know any good companies with fair rates.

Unless you got a giant or multi unit house, $2k seems incredibly unreasonable.

You sure you're not counting flood in this or something?

3400 SQFT.. No flood insurance.. When I first got with them they have very competitive rates but after googling them it seems like Liberty Mutual gives out great rates to start with and every year they raise 50% or so.

Try www.rockbottomquotes.com through Rockland. State Farm jacked up my rates the max 2 years straight. I was paying around $2900 before I left them, now I'm with Home Owners of America and I'm paying around $1600.00. They're an A+ company according to BBB.

    With windstorm its about $1700

    I use this agent:
    http://www.foretinsurance.com

I guess it also depends on the value of your home, not just the size.

What do you mean? I have windstorm, its required by the mortgage company.
3 different policies but all obtained through the same agent.

Flood insurance is not required but I still buy it.
