Can somebody please coherently explain how this is possible? How this game is not rigged? How the best officials in the world can be so inept?

I would love to hear the arguments concerning this.

Really only 2 within the game.

1 came from a technical FT, and 2 came after the game was already out of hand. So thats 2 FT's in the first 47 minutes

they probably expected that not giving any free throws would have pushed the game out of hand much earlier than it did and then allow some evening up, oh wait, they don't do things like that.

I normally would say refs shouldn't matter but during these past few games (bulls and hawks games especially) it feels like the refs have something against us. The officiating on Dwight is absolutely awful. You can see Noah literally pulling on one of Dwight's arms with both of his hands and nothing is called, but just the slightest bit of contact and a Gasol flop and Dwight gets called for a charge. It's absolutely ridiculous.

If the NBA would hold refs more accountable for mistakes, the officiating would improve. As of now, poor officiating goes unnoticed with no consequences whatsoever.

Sure the calls were lopsided, but Harden whom we depend on to get to the line was denied many times from penetrating by Butler, they play stellar defense.

    They aren't that inept.

I'll let you figure out the rest of what happened.

5 - 30 FT difference is just too obvious there is a problem with the officiating. Having said that, we were up 5pts with with about 3 minutes left, we could have closed it out, Bulls dagger 3s (or bad defense on our part) sealed the fate of this game. Anyway, we lost to the Bulls playing away, lets move on and focus on Cavs game. Look for Harden to bounce back with a big game.

This "lets move on" attitude is why officiating like this continues to happen. I don't mean to pick on you specifically, and hope you don't take this personally. However, lots of fans think this way. Its like shrugging your shoulders when your house has been broken into a bunch of times.

At what point do you stop shrugging your shoulders and attempt to do something about it? At what point will fans start to either leave the game altogether or rise up and DEMAND Adam Silver do something?

If you consider flipping stellar defense than you good sir don't know basketball. And to answer you Harden comment, the man drove to the basket plenty of times only to not get a single foul called for him. Yet you call a horrible flop against him on Butler and before that you call a horrible foul on J Smith for apparently fouling Gasol on that fade away. Tonight was not a game and blame the Rockets and staff for letting this one go but how about accepting the fact that they were never going to win this game anyway. The winner was obviously chosen from the start, call me crazy I don't care but 5-30 is pretty obvious to me. And if I was a player it would drain me completely out of the game if I was witnessing what I just witness, what player wants to try and beat the unbeaten league. When the league is on your schedule you might as well not even show up.

yes the rockets still have some glaring holes in their gameplan and could've won w/o the refs, but 5fts to 30fts, 60+pts in the paint speaks for itself

the results are clear - the game was rigged
i've seen enough - the game was rigged
note to morey - the refs are going about this wrong
dear james harden haters - the d is not silent
    tony brothers, paging tony brothers

Fans will never do this, their team success is not that important to them. We are happy about it yes, Rockets win the championship would be glorious but in the end we got things to worry about in RL.

It's going to take an owner speaking out to fix this, they pay Silver and if there was pressure on him to fix it then he'd put pressure on the refs to fix it.

Cuban is/was our best hope, he almost went nuclear on the officiating when his team lost the finals against Wade and the Heat.

It's never going to be a coach or player that questions this either since they are all about moving on and preparing for the next game.

Although man I wish Mchale played the refs as well as Thibs did. Thibs was arguing over EVERY single call. Sometimes you could even hear him screaming for calls You could have swore his team was the team with the 5 fts tonight.

Mchale for the most part just throws up his hands or rolls his eyes at it. I do understand though that's just who he is plus he has a bad hip, he can't stand all game screaming at the refs like Thibs did.

I could live with the horrible officiating, (because as a Rockets fan I've become used to it) up until the final few flops that cost us the game.

Scores were tied, Harden going for the lead, then Butler falls over trying to defend Harden & Harden gets called for an offensive foul???

Then Noah flops & gets a call after minimal contact from Dwight...after the no call on the other end.

I'm surprised Pat Bev didn't punt the ball into the stands on that last possession. If the game was called fairly, we would've won...but after last years Portland series, nothing the Refs do to screw us surprises me anymore.

    Unbelievable game...ruined by the officiating.

It's time for Morey or McHale to cop a huge fine and publicly call out the atrocious officiating.

    I'm gutted.

The FT disparity has become a trend -

Harden went almost ~7 "Quarters" without going to the charity stripe over a two game period (New Orleans & Miami).

Then tonight they get 2 FT's in the first 47 minutes of the game (minus the tech).

The Rockets took 102 shots from the floor tonight , the Bulls 85.
Rockets 27 fouls Bulls 13 fouls.

Something doesn't add up here ....

The irony , others team fans would call Harden a flopper , in the same time , they predict his career will end up short because the hits his body takes ..

    Yep.

I'd let it continue until the playoffs honestly. If I was Morey I say nothing about this. Let Harden play through the contact, will make him better.

When the playoffs start I'd send in the tapes I've been collecting to the league office proving that Harden has been getting hammered for half the season and gets no calls.
