DMo takes about 1 a game, he took 2 tonight.....Josh somehow managed to shoot 4 of them - and missed 3 yet raised his overall avg.

The only 3pter they should even be attempting is the corner one, and honestly, until McHale forces Dwight to be the backup post up option to DMo we are going to struggle.

McHale needs to have some balls on this subject. If we want to win a championship, it is going to be Motiejunas as the second option down the stretch.

Dmo needs to be the 2nd option offensively. It's obvious.

DMo shoots 3s only when he has no other recourse and within the game plan. JSmoove just jacks them up. Big difference.

Dwight already got 1 coach fired over this subject. Maybe Mchale is afraid of that. Though I think the league knows now Dwight is good enough to hold a team hostage.

I don't think so. Neither of those guys had any business shooting those threes, and that is on McHale. Big men love to gravitate to the three point line when they get tired and lazy. It is much easier than working for post position, or in Smith's case, rolling to the rim.

The point is that both of these players are extremely talented and they are being used against their strengths. It doesn't have to be that way.

True but they are still not shots he should be taking in the 4th Q, from the corner OK. Not from the wing

Every three these two shoot is a bad three. Much like Ariza... ;)

It's simple, stop allowing it. It's not personal, it's math.

DMo should never be more than 15 feet away from the basket on offense, EVER. Smith on the other hand I'm okay with him being on the perimeter, as long as he has some action going to the rim, whether it's pick and roll, cutting or driving.

The only way to stop smith from shooting threes is by benching him. He is an unstoppable bricker

When Dwight is healthy DMo is a three point shooter

    Good point.

When Dwight is the first post option and DMo is not making his threes its basically like what happened with the twin towers experiment last year, with Dwight and Asik slowing things down offensively.

Its a problem that McHale is going to have to work out.

As it stands now with Dwight being the first option and DMo being the starting 4, DMo is relegated to outside shots, and is not an ideal fit.

2 of smiths don't even count since the game was already over.

It's only when it looked like the plan to win the game was having him take 3's that it looked bad.

    Free D-Mo!

If Smith get 20 shots....D-Mo should get at least 15 touches a game. He was unstoppable until Howard and Harden came in and Mcfail took him out for Smith!?

Posting up D-Mo will open up more lanes to the rim and open 3s for the team...its so obvious but why doesn't Mcfail get this?

Also...I'd like to see more Harden and Smith PnR! Think that will free up Smith for the O-reb or easy close shots.

Yup, and I understand that a few of these for both guys were with the clock running down, but that is no excuse. If you stagnate offense for 20 seconds and find Donuts or Jooosh for a three at the buzzer, you are failing miserably, because these two guys are SO talented.

I don't even want them shooting corner threes.

I remember I posted earlier in the season that DMo should never be allowed to step out of the 3pt line on offense.

What can I say. Most players like to shoot. Especially in this system they have the green light.

Coach is telling them stop shooting and it might mess with the rest of their games.

When open, take a good shot. Everyone in the NBA says that.
