I think if the referees were trying to fix the game they would not call such an extremely low amount of fouls. I would expect more foul calls in the first half and few in the second. I also didn't see many no-calls that went against us. I'm proud of how we played. The Bulls were favorites.

Noah was mugging him, no calls. He either got tired or drifted out out of frustration. If McHale wanted Dmo taking those perimeter shots he wouldn't have pulled him.

The real problem was the 30 to 5 (or 1 really) FT discrepancy. Or does that lop-sided stat not matter because reasons?

I really liked a lot of thing we did today. We finally have a bench, and Josh Smith played very well minus the last 2 minutes.

Man, people on this thread are really losing it.

The rockets played well despite the free throw discrepancy. The rockets shooting percentage was 46% (47/102)!

Falling to 6th spot isn't so bad considering how competitive the West is. Any team can have a bad stretch and fall a couple places. The rockets should be able to bounce back. They just need to figure out a good rotation.

Don't forget this team is still stacked.

The first 42 minutes matter though. You can't just wipe them out or otherwise what would be the point of playing those minutes?

Maybe if the refs called a fair game the Rockets would have built a good 10+ point cushion?

Stats doesn't tell the story sometime.

This game, Dwight probably is the most important players on the floor if we can pull out a win, while Bev is the close second.

Dwight played 35 minutes in the game with 8 minutes to go and he ended up sitting on the bench for 1 minute and then came back.

As good as the Rox played on offense tonight, without Dwight, we could lose by 15.

Chill out. Team is still gelling. Spotty calls and huge FT disparity, but the team is improving.

Harden didn't seem all into the game though. I feel like Tibs knows how to play against Harden. Anything Harden attempted to do was thwarted seemingly taking Harden out the game mentally. Just my observation. Harden needs to not wait till the last minutes to step it up.

That's nonsense. The Rockets kept attacking the hoop all throughout the game despite never getting any foul calls. But they stopped in the latter half of the 4th and reverted to ISO and 3-pointers. They made themselves into a jump shooting team, not the refs.

We wouldn't of been able to afford both Gasol and Howard. Things might of been different if we had Gasol instead of Dwight.

We had 62 points in the paint and no fouls. You can play perfect defense for only so long, eventually when you are getting straight up hacked you run out of energy. If you want to blame the rockets or McHale on this one you're crazy. This one was on the refs, they rewarded flops and bad defense. If anything, Harden should have embellished every single time any contact was made. He needed to harness his inner Damien Lillard.

We were up 5 with a couple minutes to go, the refs didnt make us choke that away. Yes before that the refs screwed us, but again, we had a 5 point lead with a couple minutes to AFTER all that stuff. The refs didnt have much of an impact from that point forward. The blame is squarely on the Rockets.

DMo with the only plus/minus above 0 at +5 everyone else locked in at a minus.

As for the Refs, wasn't Brewer out of bounds on that 3 by Terry? And didn't Smith travel when he passed it to Brewer for a dunk, I am not ready to blame them, the FT disparity was terrible, but they looked to be driving a LOT more often than we were, we settled for a lot of jumpers by our guards....while D Rose went hard to the rim...

Harden did a few times too, but each time, it looked like their bigs were straight up and down, I think that is a very well coached defensive team.

But no blame the refs, if that makes it easier to digest.

Where are you getting only 1 free throw from?

Okay, throw out the technical, and that's still 4...

This lose is too common, we had done it again and again
Don't blame the refs, this is NBA, we can't change it!
But why can't we play smarter a little?
3 seconds, then stolen turnover, then offensive turnover, OK! It's bad offense!!
Then lost defensive rebound, then let open shoot.......
If u team always plays like this, how long can the team run over?

Well, even with the FT's etc, Houston def played a lot better than that NO game, I was happy what I saw till the break down at the end... Def think Houston can build off this, and actually had shot to still win this at end. I am happy it wasn't blow out, can you imagine effort they had in NO with the FT calls, haha. Would have been even worse.
