I don't understand why we started double teaming rose at the end. Bev was doing a great job. Don't understand why we went away from Dmo post ups. Don't understand why we shots 5 freaking free throws all game.
They didn't lose the game in the first half. It was a tied game at the half and they had the lead at the end of the third. They lost the game with that stupid call on Harden when Butler flopped.
You can try and mold your agenda any way you would like. I can give you at least 9 times the rockets were fouled on a drive and/or post and the whistle was swallowed. DMo has a bloody nose and 3 scratched up biceps as physical evidence.
Straight up pissed about this game. I hate when the Rockets play their hearts out and get robbed by the refs.
maybe he shouldn't be taking them, but he "chucked" threes and shot 50% Smith was not the problem tonight.
Anytime J Smith fires up a 3 point shot, McHale should immediately sub and put him on the bench. It's said that he has a 'low' basketball IQ. But I'm pretty sure he'll eventually figure out the relationship between his ill-advised shots and his reduced PT.
It's been happening way too much. When Scola was here, he got it plenty of times. I just don't understand...
I am an adamant believer that officials are never reason for a particular outcome, but this game was lost alone on the refs. F**k these refs man. We so outplayed the Bulls.
Motiejunas was a +5 Smith was a -19 Yet we closed out the game with Smith. Gotta love that veteran loyalty
The rockets lost when with about 4 minutes left they stopped playing offense and started playing Harden ISO. Harden didn't get it done this game. Heroball is hard to do against a defense as good as the bulls'. That's it.
He basically scared Harden away from them rim. Maybe Harden needs a little Kobe in him and yell at the ref.
The refereeing was definitely one-sided and pathetic, but the Rockets gave this game away. Leaving Butler wide open on that 3. Having Harden and Bev just dribble around until D-Mo or Smith had to take a last second 3. Not attacking the basket and putting the onus on the officials to swallow the whistle for the entire game. And that last point needs to be emphasized. The refs aren't robots. They know about the free throw disparity and may have tried to even it up a bit toward the end to try to make themselves look less biased for the home team. But that requires the Rockets to actually drive to the hoop. If you settle for outside jumpers, they ain't gonna give you any calls.
