Knicks want OKC to take Dally as part of trade for Perk. OKC wants Knicks to just release Dally so they can sign him later and get the whole $9.6 million TPE for moving Perk to NY. Paging Philly, PHX, Orlando, Milwaukee, and Utah. Worth noting Utah cut Toure Murray today I believe.

So here's the deal (unless of course it changes again): Knicks: Lance Thomas, Alex Kirk, Lou Amundson, 2019 CLE 2nd round pick Cavs: J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, OKC protected 1st round pick Thunder: Dion Waiters Knicks waive Sam Dalembert, Amundson & Kirk.
OKC gave up virtually nothing to give Waiters a test run. Can they flip him before the trade deadline? He's very a poor fit on that team but it's worth a try if they decide to trade RJ.

My grades. Knicks If they can get a big name FA. If they do, Shumpert would've been a cap casualty anyway. So might as well get something for him. Pointless use of Shumpert the asset if they get no one Cavs - If I were them, I'd just start Shumpert and cut J.R. Smith Thunder - I guess Jeremy Lamb is officially a bust? Overall one of the few seemingly wins all around type of trade.
