I wouldn't personally. As good as Lebron is you don't want someone thinking they can dual hat and be two or more things, while Lebron is a great player he is also trying to be an agent, coach and GM behind the scenes. We all saw how guys who try to take multiple roles fail horribly with guys like SVG and MJ, and with the Cavs you can start seeing it in how they are paying Tristan Thompson 10M a year just by being one of the Lebron's Agency clients. If Lebron got here you might suddenly see the Rox make dumbass moves just to appease Lebron.
Thank you all for the rep on my post! Never had a reaction like that before. Hope you all have an awesome 2015 and Go Rockets!
http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/pl...END_RIM&dir=1&CF=GP*GE*15|FGA_DEFEND_RIM*GE*4. Idk if I would say done he is 12th rim defense ( d12 is 5th and Dmo is 6th)
Yes there is no way Harden, Howard, or lebron would ever get traded; but you can't help but think how dope a team with Kyrie, Harden and Love would be. First I think that would be a pretty marketable trio, all around the same age to grow together, and I'm pretty sure Harden and Love are good buddies, as well as Kyrie and love. I'm sure Kyrie and harden get along. Yes I know one can easily say lebron is bigger than Harden, but as a trio Harden Kyrie and Love just go so well together.
The more I think about it.. the more I think Lawson is the answer. Gogi would be nice but the Suns are in a weird holding-pattern. More importantly, he is going to get a huge deal 14+million that will strap the Rockets for any other moves. Lawson (11? million and locked up) allows us some flexibility to retain Smith,Brewer,Bev etc.. If we add Gogi at 15 million or whatever.. we can maybe keep one. It does not have to be Lawson though-The idea here is that we need someone locked up on a reasonable contract. Even someone on a rookie deal. MCW for Cannan and the Pellie's Pick?
I like Lawson. But I don't see what he gives us that Canaan doesn't give us when given minutes. Unless you feel Lawson's defense is special. If we're going to get an upgrade at the point, in my opinion it has to be a guy that can defend, dribble, distribute, and finish when necessary. It's gotta be a defender/shot creator. If they dude can shoot..even better. But he's got to be able to defend if he's going to be an upgrade from Canaan and he's got to be able to handle and distribute to help us offensively.
Lawson is the guy I've felt we might land for a while now. Since before this thread appeared. I don't love him though.
Jru Holiday. Very good defense, good distributor, good shooter... If the Pelicans make him available I'd be all over it. He would be my absolute #1 target and I'd give up a lot to get him.
LOL if he was so good why are the Pelicans so bad with him, Davis, Asik and that stretch 4 they have? I think Holiday is the shining example of the difference between the West and the East, dude looked like an all star in the East and is now just average in the West.
Morey is making a trade anyway, so why don't we give our REAL group more time instead of this doomed group?
