Is Morey looking to trade this new year for a veteran year that is more proven, like 1995?

why would we want kevin love, any offesnse he would add is obviously cancelled by his terrible defense, and before everyone goes banging the drum for dmo over howard everyone needs to remember how poor our interior defense was without Dwight. Dmo is still a backup

Not only that, but Lawson's assist to TO ratio is 3.4 (3rd among starting PGs) while Thomas has a ratio of 2.17 with only 3.8 APG. But I don't see why Denver would give him up

Go talk to Mr. "Trade Harden for Love" Carl Herrera. We aren't gonna let you live that one down brotha.

I do think Kevin Love would still be great on THIS team but not without Dwight and especially not without Harden. And I think we might be seeing evidence now that in that role you probably get better dollar for dollar value with a Channing Frye or Patrick Patterson.

I don't really want to start a new thread on this but at this point would you guys still trade Harden for Lebron all things considering(age/entourage/FO & coaching control)?

Cyberx... Would you? Would GM's around the league think that is a deal they would still do?

Love would be far better if he was in a different environment. That Cleveland situation is not optimal for him. But yes, Harden has been far better than Love has been this season. Harden has also been far better than Harden was last year. Kudos to him.

I thought there was a substantial risk of Harden just never have the ability to carry heavy offensive burden while also putting forth energy on defense. So far, he's proven that worry wrong. Legit MVP level performer now.

Yes. Just giving you a hard time. Its going to be hard for Kevin Love to look good without a true 5 to do the dirty work on defense, without perimeter defense, and without a PG or two that setup an actual offense where they aren't just taking turns at running a P&R or Iso's.

It stinks because as a basketball fan I was a little excited to see that much talent together at one time, and Lebron in the middle of it, but they are quickly sinking to Brooklyn Net's lows as to how "un-fun" they are to watch.

I still don't believe that on this team Kevin Love would really be "bang-for-your-buck" value. I still think you'd be best served going for depth rather than a 3rd star whose role is basically to just be a stretch 4. If you've watched the Rockets offense lately its hard to see any different. The offense is a huge mess, and they'd probably best be served with a "calming" presence rather than another player trying to get off as many shots as he can to live up to his contract & get all-star votes.

Somebody that's doing kinda what Rajon Rondo is doing for the Mavs currently (and I was as skeptical as anyone about trading for Rondo). I think Dragic could be that guy, but he's going to end up being a heck of alot more expensive and hard to get than Rondo & he's a much different offensive player that will need touches. TBD I guess.

I think this team this season has been at its best when Harden can be that calming force, and distribute himself as the PG. So who knows, maybe they don't need a PG like anyone, and just need to start putting better combinations around him that can make his play-making alot more lethal. Maybe making a switch from Pat Bev to Canaan, or Trying out Papa at the 3 with the starters, and bringing Ariza off the bench to experiment. Maybe, Jason Terry shouldn't really be playing much at all this early in the season. Who knows. Adding another player who needs touches might not even be the answer.

Kevin Love is a stat padder and a very good player. Anybody that has watched him consistently knows this. I was on the train last year too (not for Harden though), because we are so in need a 4 that can actually shoot and space the floor. Now we've gone to one of if not the worst shooting 4 in the league.

It would be a much more cohesive team if they'd paint over this already:

At least add Smith's face. The trophy can stay.

Dalembert is a 70% FT shooter, that alone makes him better than Dorsey IMO.

Dalembert is done, it would be a lateral move at best. Considering Dorsey has that life saving 2 year contract, there is no way he is getting waived.

Dunno about our lockerroom chemistry, but our bathroom chemistry would surely be disrupted.

I'm genuinely unsure what I'd do -- which shows just how dramatically Harden's and James's current seasons have shifted the calculus. A no-brainer last year turned into a decision full of ambiguity this year.

Ultimately, you pull the trigger because Lebron's championship experience gives you the best chance to win playoff series right now, and there's no guarantee Harden or the team around him will be positioned to do so in three or four years (when Harden's relative youth becomes a more important factor.) And deep down, you hope that we're only seeing ~80 percent of Lebron during the regular season, and by playoffs, the greatest player on Earth returns to form.

But no doubt Harden's had a much better year. And his next five years look brighter than James's next five, which is probably the first time you could say that about their respective careers.

And yet Love has never proven he can play both ends, OR carry a team to the playoffs (which Harden has already done. He has also carried a team to a playoff series victory, so lets hope with a vastly improved supporting cast he can do that here!)

Your comments were poor the first time ☺
