Smith should've been on 10 day contract. What on earth people expected from him? I would totally get it if DMo wouldn't be having the season that he's having so far. But now, how much of an upgrade over DMo he was supposed to be?
Promising a guy like Josh Smith (the most anti-Morey tactic player you can think of!) to start, is one of the stupidest things Daryl has done! Can't fault Josh nor McHale, this is solely on MOREY!!!
I'm not against starting him in the future when he figures some stuff out. But with his current struggles, make him the sixth man immediately until he shows something.
I don't know about starts but it would be nice if people have players more than two or three games before proclaiming busts or mega stars.
Yup, Smith sucking isn't a big deal. Dwight looking like a panzy diva is SCARY. You can't win a championship with a guy that acts like that.
He's just not comfortable out there...I agree with Bullard who said he looked better with the 2nd unit. He seems lost
It's really going to get interesting when TJones comes back. We know that TJones is not a perfect player, but he has had a lot of good games, and we know he contributes in a positive way most games. I don't really care who starts, but I don't want to see Smith playing more minutes than DMo or TJones if he isn't playing well.
T.Jones isn't going to solve the lazy defense, bad perimeter defense, or poor all round shooting. On offense, the Rockets are looking like last year's Pistons where they go throught block of minutes. Also whenever Bev makes a drives he has been looking like 0-fer to me for a while now. The Rockets should instruct the stats people to count them as turnovers cause those shots don't go in or just end up being terrible.
i don't want to see him play basketball ever again. a trainwreck in gym shorts. a turd in a headband. i'd rather get pete chilcutt back. i'd rather watch the ghost of dwayne schintzius fart on an onion than see josh smith in a rockets uniform, collecting Ls.
I'd give the Josh Smith experiment two more games. If he: -shoots another 3 pointer, at all -shoots another long two, at all -gets another technical foul Cut his ass.
I know he said that but why else would he have been starting in his second game with us without much practice time?
Ok so it hasn't look great and it does appear he's more pro-active with the 2nd unit. Weird. But still I would give him another 5 games to see how he responds. No shame in coming off the bench if he's not producing and I bet he would agree for the sake of the team. D Mo is really a great Mo off the bench so.......hmmmm. What to do, what to do ?
