that 3/4 court pass from harden into a sea of pelicans was the low point (effort wise) of this season
13 points in 35 seconds. I've seen so many incredible finishes that I will never leave before the end.
Harden needs to take the Jordan approach and try to impress that person in the audience that has never seen him play live.
I seriously feel that when players mail it in like this, a team should be able to not pay these guys their salaries for that game / a week or whatever. That money can then go to fans like you!! Feel sorry you had to sit through that ****..
Did you watch both games ??? (13 in 35) they actually gave a damn about playing and it paid off at the end. This game was another story, they weren't even interested therefore a miracle won't happen by sitting on the bench
Same thing I thought when I saw the play. My second thought was Howard probably had been crying for the ball, so Harden was like "f it, here you go". And Josh Smith has that loser mentality. I notice that he doesnt run back on defense as he should. And he's playing like Harden from last year, no hustle for loose balls. I was all for this signing, but he needs to come off bench.
Or as last year when we were 7 behind 2min to go, and Lin stepped up and saved us. But even when we brought Harden back in, we couldn't compete.
I didn't see the game. It was one of maybe two I've missed since the beginning of the Comcast debacle. But I read about it. And if the players and coach have given up, I don't have any issue with OP leaving early. I'd do it too.
this is so silly. i can see owners abusing this and the players union having a fit over it. because cooperations are all about giving their own money back to their consumers!!
Haha, true, but guaranteed contracts do kind of suck sometimes ... Like no fear of failure. I'm not saying players don't mail it in in other leagues, just seems easier in the NBA.
I was there too at the game last night with my wife and it was atrocious. We had planned a trip around going to see them play in NO. We had a great time in New Orleans over New Year's, but I really felt angry as I left after the 3rd after witnessing such an effortless performance by the Rockets. I was so pissed we drove back home right after the game instead of sleeping there 1 more night as we had planned!
